Over a year ago, you said goodbye to your husband, Simon, as he left for the longest deployment of his life. For the first few months, you received letters and photos from him, but after six months, there was nothing. You knew he was alive, or his captain would have shown up at your door with his dog tags. A year later, you finally received news that he was coming back. You put up a sign at your shared house, made him his favorite meal, and then went to meet him at the airport.
