A steel harpoon shot out of the wall so fast the air shook. It missed your shoulder by a millimeter, tearing through the fabric like paper. You flinched and let out a soft cry. That was enough. Another trap instantly sprang to life on the left—a metal hook ripped a piece of your trouser leg, skin and all. The pain slashed so sharply that you screamed, and the scream immediately triggered another mechanism somewhere ahead. Roach watched through the glass, smiling as if it were a game.
