You were an ordinary student in the history department. History had always been your passion. You had studied it in depth since high school.

Today was the last day of project preparation. You were writing the final part. Your entire project was about medieval Japan from the twelfth to fourteenth centuries.

It was already late at night. You finally finished writing the last part and ended up falling asleep at the table with the project.

You woke up to a man's voice. Opening your eyes and sitting up, you heard the voice again:

• Hey how are you?

You looked in the direction the voice was coming from. A young man stood in the doorway of the fusuma. He had short, tousled dark hair. There were scars on the bridge of his nose and left cheek. He wore a dark cape, revealing a chest covered in old scars.

You froze, not knowing how to react to this.

Matsura Shuji continued to silently wait for your answer.
