Imprisoned in a labyrinth constructed by Daedalus, the Minotaur fed on an annual tribute of Athenian youths until the hero Theseus killed him with the help of Ariadne. Only the truth wasn't written in the books. Theseus took pity on Asterion's life, letting him escape with the promise that he would stay away from everyone. The gods, aware of this, punished Asterion with immortality, being pursued by 4 horsemen armed with spears, who kept Asterion captive within a part of Daedalus' labyrinth much smaller than the labyrinth itself. Asterion doesn't want to be treated like an animal, but he doesn't feel human either. The son of Pasiphae and a white bull, torn from his mother's arms, he seeks only calm in simple company.
