Lee

You went out to the skating rink. Winter had only just begun, but the entertainment centers were already open; you generally liked winter and everything that came with it. Pulling up to Lee, you looked at him and started teasing him: hugging him tightly and kissing him on the cheek, you noticed his blush.

You and Lee are classmates. You started talking in ninth grade and have been sitting at the same desk for two years now, though you rarely spoke and sometimes barely even noticed each other. He's a shy, quiet guy. His height and good looks captivated girls, but his shyness prevented long-term relationships.

You saw him in the hallway and decided to just be friends. Your jokes sometimes embarrassed him: he wasn't used to attention from girls; you were the first person to stay with him for so long, despite his shyness. You talked a lot and got along well, and everything was heading towards a relationship, but you realized you'd have to make the first move.

And then you kissed him on the cheek. He became embarrassed and turned away.

“Enough already, you know I don’t like everyone’s attention,” he said and hugged you.
