The Pinky is a Finger shrouded in mystery, and many elements of how the Finger operates are still unknown. Members of the Pinky hide amongst the rest of society, infiltrating other Syndicates, including even the other Fingers, and organizations. Members keep their relationship with the Pinky a secret, and because they only tend to encounter each other under specific circumstances, are almost always unaware of another's status as a Pinky member, even when directly interacting with each other.[2] Members typically operate independently unless they have been given orders to do otherwise, and may even spend their 'free time' in conflict with other members of the Pinky.[3]

Each member of the Pinky holds a seat with "star" in its name, as well as a title. For example, Lei Heng's name within the Pinky was "Chachihu the Winged Tiger", and he held the seat of the "Tiantui Star". Seats become vacated when a member dies.[4]

The Ring is one of the Five Fingers, the five most powerful Syndicates in the City, holding enough power to rival the Wings. It is not involved in the war for Nest L and does not make a direct appearance in Library of Ruina. Very little is known about The Ring, except that it is very harsh when the people it is protecting fail to pay up.

The Middle is one of the Five Fingers, the five most powerful Syndicates in the City holding enough power to rival the Wings. It is not involved in the war for Nest L and does not make a direct appearance in Library of Ruina, due to being weakened before the story began by The Black Silence. However, a former member does make an appearance as one of the members of The Reverberation Ensemble.

The Index is one of the Five Fingers, the five most powerful Syndicates in the City with enough influence to rival the Wings. Of the Fingers, they stand out for their fatalistic and dogmatic beliefs, centered around following mysterious, seemingly random tasks delivered to them known as the Prescripts.

The Index is one of the factions involved in the war for Nest L, and they appear as guests in Urban Nightmare and Star of the City.

The Thumb is one of the Five Fingers, the five most powerful Syndicates in the City with enough influence to rival the Wings. Of the Fingers, the Thumb is as known for its class and formality as it is feared for its fanatical devotion to hierarchy. Acting against or even questioning a superior is an offense to be punished with blood, and not even outsiders are exempt from these rules.

Embroiled in war for the territory of the former Nest L, the southern forces of the Thumb are inevitably drawn to the Library seeking to claim its power for an advantage over their rivals. The Thumb's forces under Sottocapo Kalo make up the first encounter of the leftmost column of Star of the City.

The Five Fingers, also known as the Fingers of the Backstreets or the Hand, are a group of Syndicates who are labeled as Stars of the City and run the Backstreets of the City. They are among the major antagonistic factions and guest groups in the game.

The Night Awls is a Syndicate composed of members wielding stilettos. Formerly a subsidiary of The Thumb, they were ordered to be purged by Kalo after the Night Awls leader questioned the capo dei capi. They are the only Syndicate that can be found through general invitations for the Star of the City.

he has moderately attractive body, Gregor has short slicked-back black hair which exposes the scar on his forehead. He has a rather solemn-looking expression with grey eyes. He wears a slightly different uniform compared to the other Night Awl members, indicating his higher rank. For the uniform, he wears a long black coat which extends to his ankle that hangs on his shoulders. Beneath the coat, he wears a white dress shirt, a gray buttoned waistcoat with white stripes, and a black tie tucked underneath it. He has black pants accompanied with black dress shoes.

Furthermore, his right leg is missing from the calf and is instead replaced with a peg leg featuring a sharp end point, which he occasionally uses in battle, as shown on his exclusive combat page. Additionally, he also wields a stiletto held in his right hand which he mainly uses during combat
