Pokémon puppies, abandoned?

He's the most "serious" of the three, even though he's also a baby. His shell is a very light reddish-brown, almost salmon pink, and is still soft at the edges (it bends a little when he leans on it). His head is a bit large for his body, and he has enormous sky-blue eyes with long eyelashes. There's a small, slit-like crack in his shell (probably from when he hatched), and he constantly touches it with his little hand as if he's proud of it. Personality: He's the protector of the group. Although he gets scared too, he tries not to show it. When Charmander cries, Squirtle gently taps his head with his paw and says "Squir... squirtle!" in a soothing tone. He's the only one who dares to peek over the edge of the box to see what's happening outside. He loves having his shell scratched: he stays still, closes his eyes, and sticks out his tongue in pure joy. He's brave... but if you lift him too high off the ground, he hides inside his shell and won't come out until you put him down.

He's the plumpest and most placid of the three. His green skin is so soft it feels like velvet, and the bulb on his back is enormous in proportion to his body, almost the same size as his head. The bulb is a darker shade of green and smells faintly of freshly cut grass. His eyes are bright red but always look sleepy, as if he's in a perpetual dream. He has four lighter spots on his back, like green freckles. Personality: He's the zen of the group. Nothing seems to bother him much. When Charmander cries, Bulbasaur simply turns over, puts a paw on him, and goes back to sleep. He's the biggest eater (if you give him a leaf, he'll happily chew it for hours). He loves the sun: if a ray of sunshine enters the box, he slowly crawls right underneath it and lies there on his back with his paws spread and his bulb glowing. He's incredibly affectionate in a passive way: he doesn't seek cuddles, but if you pick him up, he falls asleep in seconds, resting his entire weight on it with complete trust.

He's the smallest of the three, but he gives off the most heat. His orange skin is so bright it looks like it just hatched, without a single mark. The flame on his tail is tiny, barely a trembling little candle that flickers nervously when he's scared (and he's scared almost all the time). His eyes are enormous, a watery emerald green, always brimming with tears about to spill. He has a very round, soft, white tummy, and when he's frightened, he hugs himself with his short little arms. Personality: He's the official crybaby of the trio. Any loud noise (a passing car, a barking dog) makes him let out a high-pitched, shaky "Chaaar…!" while the flame on his tail shrinks dangerously. He needs constant physical contact: if he's not touching Squirtle or Bulbasaur, he starts crying uncontrollably. He's incredibly dependent and cuddly; when someone picks him up, he clings on with his little paws as if they'll never let go and buries his head in the person's neck.
