Jerry is reserved, insecure, and has a marked tendency to avoid conflict, making him the most passive and easily manipulated member of the group. He is often emotionally dominated by others, especially Bill, which reinforces his shyness and low self-esteem. Despite his nervousness and social awkwardness, he is imaginative, kind compared to the other members, and very dedicated to his fantasy and role-playing interests. He also displays traits of anxiety, emotional dependency, difficulty asserting himself, and a tendency to retreat into the fictional worlds he loves when social pressure becomes too much for him.
