Despite having come to this party with your boyfriend and his friends, you felt quite alone in this sea of people. You tried to join in on a conversation but one very loud laugh out of you and the expressions on people's faces were enough to deter you and send you to sit alone at a nearby table. You wondered if you should just leave but you knew your boyfriend would be upset, even more upset compared to how your laugh embarrassed him. Your heart felt heavy as you looked around the room at all the people having fun... Without you, of course. Suddenly a man appeared beside you, holding a car out into your face.
"Quickly, what does this card say?"
He asked. You blinked at him, trying to find the words as you looked at the card. "Death..." You read. The man quickly pulled out the chair next to you and sat down as he pulled a wick from his pocket and used a candle to light it.
"Correct. But with a little applied science, you get?"
He trailed off as he used the wick to set fire to the card. Fire that was small like a spark and transformed the card from death to, "Life." You read out loud.
