Set in 1980s, times are tough with the rising of criminal activities and gangs even making it harder... The new generation, the so called, "0th Generation", has began. It will found the new normal that the world will see, a world where violence and crime is dominant. Peoples strengths and capabilities are rising, with some people being able to take down a whole gang by their own.
Some of the well known gangs are, Leilong Group in china, spanning over the whole country, led by their leader, Xiao Lei (23, M), with a few thousand man at his disposal. In South Korea, there's the Hanseok Fist Gang, with most of it covered by their group, led by Kim Yunseok (27, M) and Park Haneul (21, F). In Japan, there's the Yamaguchi-gumi and the Yamazaki-gumi. The Yamaguchi-gumi controlled post war markets which helped Japan re-establish itself after the war, and the Yamazaki-gumi on the other hand, controlled most trade routes and overall have the higher manpower. Japan is pretty weak in it's gangs because the two major clans are enemies. The leaders are Yamaguchi Hayato (42, M) and Yamazaki Kenshin (30, M) respectively. As for one of the biggest groups in the world, there's The Vory v zakone in Russia. it's not a single gang in the modern sense but a vast, influential criminal subculture and network that flourishes within the Gulag system of forced labor camps. It's a powerful, hierarchical organization with a strict code of behavior and an obscure initiation ritual, which includes a complex system of tattoos that denoted rank and criminal history. And there's also the Felizia Familia, a mafia group that controls most of Italy currently, the biggest mafia group in Europe, exceeding previous records. Led by Feliciana De Sandra (26, F), and his right hand, Gabriel Hernandez (53, M) As for Mexico, there's the infamous and powerful Sinaloan Cartel. Their leader isn't established yet as many are fighting for that title inside the group.
More Info/Politics/Factions
As for the arguably biggest gang, is the Gold Syndicate, in northern america, with a massive control over trade routes and enough manpower to fend off America's agents and police forces. It's leader is unknown, but there's different "Captains" of the group, Shawn Brown (49, M), James McLaren (M, 37), McKenzie Rivers (F, 24), and a man who only goes by the alias of "Asmo." The crimes they commit are drug trafficking, human trafficking, and sex trafficking, and with ruthless rules that doesn't honor those below the important figures they have.
Racism and Sexism is a very big issue, but some women are able to rise to power. During this time, a lot of gangs have also appeared, not as big as the major factions, but big enough to be a threat in that neighborhood. Smaller gangs control small areas where the major factions don't really try to control it or areas out of major factions' reach.
The Art Of War of the 0th Generation: Most gang fights are done with close combats, mostly with nothing, just pure fist fighting, or some would use weapons, like knives, hammers, crowbars, the Japanese uses katanas, but as per guns, they're barely used, since they attract more attention, they're only used where it's common to hear gunfire. Close quarters combat has also risen to the top, because of the 0th Generation that has insane capabilities. Most leaders of factions, or atleast their strongest fighters, are called "Elites." The most notable Elite Fighters are Kim Yunseok, Yamazaki Kenshin, and Gabriel Hernandez.
Important Characters/Details
Xiao Lei (23, M) - A promising triad boss in Beijing, China. His Leilong Group spans over the country, and they specialize in territorial controls and market control in China. Lei is an Elite, his strength and durability is not notable, but his speed might just be the fastest. His kicks are unpredictable, mastering feints and his specialty, Invisible Strike, something so fast and coming from the enemy's blindspot. He has long black hair, but it's tied into a long single braid at the back.
Kim Yunseok (27, M) - He is a tall and very muscular man, always wearing his old jacket, gloves, and the black old flat cap who he got from his late friend who died in the war. He is Korea's undisputed strongest, he used to be a boxing champion, but he got buried in debt and was forced to retire. He got recruited by Park Haneul and got his debts settled, but in exchange, he became the personal weapon of Haneul, of Hanseok Fist Gang. His way of fighting isn't really unique, he overwhelms with both speed and power, using combinations of grappling and striking, but he mostly uses his fists, and mixes in some elbows and knees. As per his mastery... It's Conviction... And his real specialty, it's a phenomena, called a "Path." His path is... "Absolute Resolve."
Park Haneul (21, F) - She's a young woman who's born into an already wealthy family, but her family got blamed for some crimes and she was left to inherit what remained of their properties and possessions. She turned not into the life of crime, though they're considered a gang, the Hanseok Fist helps people and have very high standards and morals. They accept and help "fuck ups" into their gang and helps them get better and fix themselves, in exchange, they need to help the gang and help other people.
Important Characters/Details (2)
Feliciana De Sandra (26, F) - A very strong woman that has risen to power in the Vilentre Familia, who she later took over and became the Felizia Familia. She may look slender and slim under the suit she usually wears, she's muscular and athletic. She has a unique Silver hair, which makes her easily identifiable. Nicknamed as the Silver Blood, not an Elite, but her intellect and mastery over weapon and non-weapon combat is insanely deadly.
Yamaguchi Hayato (42, M) - The boss of the Yamaguchi-gumi, he's not an Elite fighter or someone strong enough to keep up with rivaling groups, but he's an insane strategist, businessman, and a wise philosopher. Because of his intellect, Japan's government is protecting his gang, and vice versa.
Gabriel Hernandez (53, M) - Though he's pretty old, he's the strongest force of Felizia Familia, he has both experience and insane durability, being able to survive multiple knife and bullet wounds he got in WW2. He's a rough old man... His Path is chaotic, it's not something focused like Yunseok's "Absolute Resolve." It's something raw and brute, "Psychotic Ecstasy", he just walks through attacks like they're not doing anything, every bleed, he smiles, and with every counter attack he throws, he laughs, always soaked with blood after fights...
Yamazaki-gumi Important Members
Yamazaki Kenshin (30, M) - A very tall and muscular man, people look at him with fear. But it's normal for the Yamazaki's to be intimidating and monstrously strong, it's in their blood. They also have jet black hair, and unique eyes for those born with it... black scleras, and white irises and pupils, like their eyes are inverted, these eyes helped them grow stronger than their current enemy, with no limits to how much they could adapt to, and Kenshin, has those eyes. He's also a master of Kyokushin Karate, combined with his monstrous strength, he's an absolute unit. He once had an encounter with the Hanseok Fist Gang, and it didn't go well for both groups. He has a mastery over strength, durability, and speed, further more making him a monster due to his already strong genes. As per his path, it's unknown if he has unlocked it or not...
Yamazaki Shingen (11, M) - Despite being only a kid, he is already an Elite fighter, born with the black eyes of the Yamazaki and the capability to take down a small gang all by himself. He is heir to be the next head of the Yamazaki Clan.
Yamazaki Shintaro (11, M) - Shingen's twin younger brother, despite being twins and being identical, their difference is that Shintaro doesn't have the black eyes, and wears glasses. He also has a burn scar on his back due to an accident a few days after they were born. He is significantly weaker than Shingen, but he's still considered an Elite fighter.
Gold Syndicate Captains
Shawn Brown (49, M) - A big man who, despite all odds, has one of the best speed in the Gold Syndicate. He learned Capoeira after the war ended, and mastered it through hard relentless training everyday till he got recruited by the Gold Syndicate. He has a mastery over his speed, and his large frame makes his attacks have more range and more power due to his speed and weight. He is a big black man, and has a habit of taking off his shirt when fighting. He also doesn't let his martial arts limit his arsenal, he will use pipes to hit, and slam some people into walls, boxes, trash bins, anything he can use to gain an advantage, he will use it.
James McLaren (37, M) - He doesn't shine a lot because of his small stature, but he's muscular under that shirt of his. He may be short, but he has insane mastery on the accuracy of his attacks, combined with boxing, he uses it to find good angles and open attacks, and it's not enough, he always carries a knife. He's bald with a beard.
McKenzie Rivers (24, F) - A woman who has a few dozen men under her control. She may not be an Elite, but her skills and seduction, manipulation, and recruiting are really good. She's also a good leader, one of the candidates for the next Big Mommy of the Gold Syndicate, as she also brings in ton of cash to the gang.
Then... There's "Asmo." He has no real name, no one knows his age, barely anyone has seen him, aside from the group. Rumors says that he was the reason that the previous Syndicate leader, was brutally murdered and got replaced, but he never took on the role of Big Daddy of the Elite Syndicate. His motives are unknown, even his own group doesn't trust him. As per his appearance, he was described to be a rough man with a few scars on his face, always wearing all black a worn long black trenchcoat, and a flat cap. He has a messy, pretty long black hair, which hides his eyes and face pretty well.
Mastery
Mastery a type of Awakening a fighter has during training, or during battle, is a sign of their exponential growth in that specific area. So far, there are 3 known stages of Mastery and 5 fields of them. Some people do not possess any types of Mastery at all, but still are comparable to top-tier fighters. When a fighter has surpassed Mastery, their eyes glow in the respective color with respect to their Mastery.
Path To achieve Mastery, the fighter needs to push his body to its limits for a short period of time, to the point of "forgetting who you are", thus becoming completely miserable with himself. After that, the fighter must find and challenge someone who is on another level, so that they feel completely powerless against them, in a sensation similar to "facing a wall".
Surpassing The Wall Only after the stages of the "Path", the fighter will have to look at this challenge and rise against this situation, thus reaching a stage known as the "Stage to Mastery", or also known as "Overcoming the Wall". During this stage, the fighter begins to grow frighteningly quickly during the fight against the powerful opponent, thus reaching Mastery.
Achieving Mastery After these arduous stages, the fighter reaches Mastery, when reaching a Mastery, the feeling is as if he had accomplished something in an area of fighting, thus reaching the "threshold" corresponding to its main aspects.
Some people have the unique ability to see a person's mastery by looking at their eyes, they see that glow, but very few of those with the ability actually see all the mastery of a person. It's hard to see the mastery of someone with more than one of it, because the glow in their eyes when they're fighting are mixing, forming a new color based on the color of their masteries.
Types of Mastery
Strength Being represented by the color red, Mastery of strength is used by powerful fighters, those who have surpassed Mastery in strength have superhuman physical power, being able to demolish walls, carry steel bars and perform other related feats with certain ease.
Speed Being represented by the color blue, the Mastery of speed is used by agile and even unreachable fighters, those who surpassed in speed are extremely fast, being able to cover long distances in seconds, dodge deadly blows and perform related feats with certain ease, in addition being one of the requirements to achieve Invisible Strike.
Durability Being represented by the color green, the Mastery of durabilty is used by highly physically durability fighters, those who have overcome resistence can last much longer during a fight, as well as even nullifying its damage.
Being represented by the color light pink, the Mastery of the technique is used for the smartest and most skilled fighters, those who have surpassed their own technique are capable of thinking extremely quickly, thus inventing their own movements and special techniques during the fight, also achieving perform dangerous and complex actions with ease, as well as being one of the requirements to achieve Invisible Attacks.
And finally... Conviction Represented by the color purple, Conviction is the Mastery stemming from filling one's attacks with the desire to protect. This mastery allows the holder to exercise power beyond their own limits, being able to surpass other Masteries, however, if this power is allowed to stand out too much, it takes a high toll on the user's body. Unlike the other forms of Mastery, this field can't be obtained through pure training. It comes from pure, raw, emotions of conviction; meaning it can't be obtained through ordinary means of training or simply feeling strong emotions.
The Path
Path is a unique ability, a phenomena even... It's distinguished from Mastery because it is something unique to the individual that no one else can attain and that arises as a manifestation of their own abilities and convictions. To awaken their own Path, the individual must reach a state of understanding and unwavering determination in what they believe as proof of their individuality and thus achieve unparalleled power.
The main difference between Mastery and Path is that Mastery users acquire a superhuman physical attribute that manifests itself in the emanation of an aura and a glow in the eyes of a specific color, while Path is the awakening of a unique ability that is associated with a pure white aura emanating from the user's entire body and their eyes.
