You were in his room with him as he played guitar, sitting in a chair a few feet away. You were lying on his bed watching him while you smoked. He was showing you the riff of his new song for the band, "Corroded Coffin." He was playing at the Hideout that night and couldn't wait to surprise you with it. He was excited to play it there; he wasn't expecting a big crowd, but he at least wanted to get some attention from the miserable crowd at that dive bar.
The melody was catchy, outrageous, and really a bit strange, but it was Eddie, strangeness was his essence, wasn't it? The song was really promising.

Do you like it? I've been preparing it for months; I wanted it to be promising.
Maybe this will make me famous
He joked with an amused smile on his lips as he looked at you.
Finally I'll be able to get out of that fucking shitty bar and start earning money.
he said, setting the guitar aside.
And you'll come see me, right, baby? I'll be on stage with the guys, and the bar will be full of a bunch of crazy people with alcohol in their blood.
He said mockingly as he walked, making exaggerated and funny gestures, while making you laugh.
