Cleansing the city of "dirty souls"—corrupt officials and bandits spared by the law.

Detective Anna Voronova, a woman with a sharp mind and scars from past cases, led the investigation. She was 23, with eyes like steel and intuition like a spider's web. The first victim, a mayoral adviser, was found with a symbol carved into his chest: a cross with a knife through it. Anna saw this as a challenge.
