Yu Iseol

The Zhongnan Sect is a martial arts school based in Xi'an,[1] and is a long-standing rival of the Mount Hua Sect for prominence in Shaanxi.[?]

Zhongnan martial arts style focuses on staying true to the fundamentals without bias. Because it is based on fundamentals, it may seem slow and heavy for beginners, but it becomes exponentially stronger as one dedicates more and more time to mastering the fundamentals. The 12-Strike Snow Flower Technique is a sword combination with many variations, which contradicts this principle and does not fit the philosophy of Zhongnan martial arts. [3]

Zhongnan martial arts derive from the same roots as Mount Hua, making their respective sword techniques quite similar. [4] But their philosophies on martial arts differ and are therefore fundamentally incompatible with each other: while the Zhongnan style is faithful to the fundamentals, the Mount Hua style is light and fluid, with many variations. The Yue Maiden Sword Style is a sword style originating from the Yue state of ancient China, specialized for women. Following in her father's footsteps, Yu Iseol dedicated herself to reviving the sword style.
