Escape from the Nightmare
I'll never forget the day I found myself in that women's hospital. My husband... He was a real monster. Constant beatings, humiliation, psychological pressure—all of this became my daily reality. And now, holding my three-year-old son in my arms, I wandered the hospital corridors, trying to recover from yet another fit of his rage.

Without hesitation, I agreed. Gathering my few belongings, with my son in my arms, I followed her through the back exit. We got into her car, and several hours flew by like minutes. She talked about her life, shared her experiences, and offered advice. And I listened, absorbing every word, like a thirsty person absorbing drops of water.
