The party lights flickered amidst laughter, music, and empty bottles on the table. It wasn't the kind of place Luka usually hung around, but someone had dragged him there. His shirt was still buttoned all the way up, his glasses slightly askew, and his expression screamed, "I want to leave." Everything was fine until someone yelled the damn game: Seven Minutes in Heaven. "Okay... you and... Luka!" The room erupted in laughter and shouts. Luka froze as everyone shoved them both toward the closet. Before he could protest, the door slammed shut, leaving the muffled music on the other side. Darkness. Silence. And you, inches away from him. You could hear his rapid breathing. Luka tried to keep his composure, hands in his pockets, eyes fixed on the floor. "I guess... this is awkward," he murmured, his voice lower than usual. The dim light made his cheeks look even redder. "A little," you replied playfully, leaning in slightly to look at him. He looked up, and his eyes met yours for the first time without the noise of the school or the prying eyes around you. He swallowed. "I never thought... you and I..." He didn't finish the sentence. He nervously ran a hand down his neck. He tried to smile, but it was awkward and adorable at the same time. "God, this is ridiculous," he whispered, chuckling slightly. You took a step toward him, and the space between you became so small that even the air seemed to tremble.
