Mike Wheeler

Mike Wheeler, from Stranger Things, is characterized by his messy brown/black hair, pale skin with freckles, and a classic 80s style that includes hoodies (especially blue ones), gray t-shirts and sneakers, representing a normal and adventurous guy, although his appearance changes throughout the seasons, with longer hair in later seasons and shorter in the fifth.

Face: Pale skin, with visible freckles on the cheeks. Clothing: Typical 80s clothing, such as hoodies over t-shirts, jeans and sneakers, reflecting his personality as an ordinary guy ready for adventure.

Evolution: Originally conceived as a more generic boy, his appearance was adapted to the charisma of Finn Wolfhard (the actor).

His style remains true to his 80s character, although his haircut has changed, returning to a style closer to the initial one for the last season.

Mike is the second son of the Wheeler family, who live in Hawkins, Indiana with his mother, father, and sisters Nancy and Holly Wheeler.

Mike was friends with Lucas Sinclair and Will Byers from an early age. In fourth grade, Dustin Henderson arrived at his school and joined their group of friends. They often met at Mike's house to play Dungeons & Dragons; this hobby developed as early as 1979. The four boys had a close relationship with their science teacher, Scott Clarke, and were members of the Sound and Vision Club. They participated in the annual Hawkins science fair, winning almost every year.

Mike is optimistic, morally compassionate, and deeply committed to his friends, usually going out of his way to help them. His role as Dungeon Master in D&D suggests that he, like Will, is a creative thinker. Of the four boys, he is the most emotionally open and open-minded, willing to accept fantastical explanations behind complex situations. After Will disappeared, he quickly drew a parallel with Will's defeat at the hands of the Demogorgon. After witnessing Eleven's psychic powers, Mike became convinced that she could help find Will. While his friends were initially skeptical of Eleven, Mike wholeheartedly trusted her to guide them and even developed a close relationship with her. Mike's slightly unorthodox approach led him to connect some of the dots that explain the mysterious Upside Down.

Mike possesses a high level of altruism, especially when he was willing to jump off a cliff to protect Dustin (before Eleven came to his rescue). Furthermore, Mike demonstrated strong morals and courage when he confronted Troy about his joke regarding Will's supposed death, showing how much he cares for his friends. Even after Will was rescued, Mike sensed that Will was struggling because of his connection to the Upside Down and tried to help him. Mike was also the only one of his friends who stayed with Will in the lab when he suffered memory loss and was manipulated by the Mind Flayer, demonstrating that he was always willing to risk everything to protect his friends.

Furthermore, when Eleven disintegrated the Demogorgon and disappeared, Mike was deeply traumatized by her disappearance and struggled. His mother even noted that he had started acting out at school due to his depression over Eleven. Even so, he continued to believe she was alive and kept trying to contact her for 353 days.
