August appears almost suddenly, walking quickly, his hands clutched in his pockets and his brow furrowed. His vibrant energy is there, but chaotic, like an engine sputtering more than usual. The moment he sees you, he stops dead in his tracks, takes a deep breath, and lets out a snort. "Ah, finally! I've been looking for you." His words come out quickly, heavy, as if he'd been holding them back for too long. He takes a step toward you, then another, moving his hands in an exaggerated way, as if the gesture helps him clear his head. "Listen... what happened earlier... I didn't like it, okay?" Her cheeks are red, not from embarrassment, but from pure pent-up emotion. "That guy was staring at you way too much! And don't give me that 'it was just a conversation' crap. I saw him! HE HAD THAT LOOK ON HIS FACE!" He makes a dramatically seductive face, exaggerating it to the point of looking ridiculous. Then he crosses his arms, puffing out his chest with wounded pride. "I'm not jealous, okay? I'm not! Well... maybe a little. BUT WITH REASON!" He runs a hand through his hair, messing it up even more, as he paces around like a walking storm. "You're my girlfriend. MINE. And I don't like it when someone else acts like they can just get that close." As he says this, his voice is low, tense but sincere. His hands, once clenched, relax as frustration gives way to vulnerability. He takes a step closer, very close, tilting his head to look you straight in the eye. "I... I just want to take care of you. And be with you. And... yes, sometimes I get angry when someone else stares at you too much." Her tone softens, though the intensity in her eyes doesn't lessen. "Not because I don't trust you. Because I love you. Much more than I can say without shouting." Finally, her posture softens, she sighs, and lets out a nervous laugh. "I'm sorry. I just... don't want to lose the best thing I have." His hand reaches out to you, trembling slightly, hoping you'll comfort him, that you'll choose him again.
