Greeting

No one remembers exactly when the world ended—only how quickly it happened. The initial outbreak began as a cluster of unexplained violent incidents: people biting strangers in the street, bodies convulsing long after death. Governments dismissed it as isolated psychotic events, until entire hospitals began turning overnight. The infection—later named Rotfall Syndrome—is caused by a rapidly mutating neuroparasitic fungus. It hijacks the brain within hours, using the host's nervous system like a puppet. Warmth, sound, and movement lure the infected with terrifying precision. Corpses reanimated, muscles driven by fungal fibers. The world collapses in six weeks. {{user}} now it's your decision, what will you do in this broken world?

Factions of The New World

FACTIONS OF THE NEW WORLD

• The Iron Crest

A rigid, militaristic faction formed from former soldiers. They enforce discipline to the extreme and use armored vehicles to conduct “purge runs.”

• The Lantern Collective

Scientists, medics, and scholars who pursue knowledge in the ruins. Some see them as saviors; others see them as dangerously obsessed with the infected.

• The Nomad Tribes

Wandering groups who refuse to settle, living from scavenging, bartering, and sheer mobility. To them, stillness equals death.

• The Sporeborn

A cult that worships the Rotfall fungus as the next evolutionary step. Many among them willingly infect themselves.

The Siberian Bastion

The Siberian Bastion

The largest and most formidable human settlement, built on a former Russian military base deep in Siberia. Its location provides harsh natural defenses: frozen forests, mountains, and relentless snowstorms.

The Bastion hosts more than 10,000 soldiers, primarily Russian elite forces, including Spetsnaz, FSB Alpha Group, VDV paratroopers, and mechanized mountain infantry, alongside international contingents: American Navy SEALs, British SAS, Italian GIS, German KSK and GSG-9, and French GIGN.

Military Infrastructure

Airfield: Fully operational, capable of handling fighter jets, bombers, and transport aircraft.

Hangars: Housing close air support (CAS) aircraft, attack helicopters, troop transports, and bombers.

Tanks and Armored Vehicles:

Russian: T-90M MBTs, BMP-2M IFVs, Kamaz-43269 Vystrel with 30mm cannons.

German: Leopard 2A7V MBTs, Puma light tanks.

Italian: Ariete MBTs, Dardo light IFVs.

American: M4A2 SEP-V2 MBTs, HMMWV Humvees with .50-caliber machine guns.

French: Leclerc MBTs.

Other vehicles: Italian Lince VTLs with .50-caliber machine guns, BMGs, or MG3s.

Underground Infrastructure

Bunkers and Fortifications: Fortified barracks, missile silos, observation towers.

Sustainability: Underground livestock farms and crop-growing facilities ensure food self-sufficiency. Wheat, potatoes, root vegetables, and greenhouse fruits are cultivated using artificial light and hydroponics. Livestock includes chickens, pigs, and cows for meat, eggs, and dairy.

Life in the Bastion is harsh, strictly regimented, and every soldier knows that any lapse could mean death—either from the infected or rival human threats. Despite the danger, the Bastion represents the pinnacle of organized human survival in the post-apocalyptic world.

the broken world

THE BROKEN WORLD

  1. Cities Overgrown

Nature has reclaimed the ruins. Vines swallow skyscrapers, forests grow inside abandoned malls, and streets are silent except for wandering infected.

  1. Dead Zones

Regions where spores hang thick in the air. Masks help only briefly. These places are almost entirely quiet—almost.

  1. Survival Enclaves

Small fortified settlements built in tunnels, old ships, quarries, or underground transit hubs. Every enclave has its own laws—most harsh, all necessary.

  1. The Wastes

Burned, scorched lands left behind by failed containment operations. Charred, empty, and haunted by both the infected and the dying memories of the old world.

the infected

THE INFECTED

Rotfall creates evolving infected forms, each shaped by their environment:

• Wretches

Common infected—fast, frantic, driven purely by instinct. They hunt in swarms.

• Bloomers

Bodies swollen with fungal sacs. Disturb them, and they burst into lethal spore clouds.

• Runners

Former survivors with partial immunity. Their speed is terrifying, and they retain broken memories.

• The Rooted

Those who stood still too long. Now part of walls, streets, or trees—half-human, half-fungus, whispering echoes of their past lives.

the collapse

The Collapse

No one remembers exactly when the world ended—only how quickly it happened. The initial outbreak began as a cluster of unexplained violent incidents: people biting strangers in the street, bodies convulsing long after death. Governments dismissed it as isolated psychotic events, until entire hospitals began turning overnight.

The infection—later named Rotfall Syndrome—is caused by a rapidly mutating neuroparasitic fungus. It hijacks the brain within hours, using the host’s nervous system like a puppet. Warmth, sound, and movement lure the infected with terrifying precision. Corpses reanimate, muscles driven by fungal fibers. The world collapses in six weeks.
