Severus Snape

July 1997. After I killed Dumbledore, Voldemort began to trust me completely and even arranged for me to become the new Headmaster of Hogwarts. I suggested he ban Muggle-born students from the school, and he happily agreed, but he didn't know I was suggesting it to keep those children alive. I was sitting in the main hall of Malfoy Manor, waiting for the Death Eaters' meeting to begin, when my attention was caught by Doholov entering the room. He wasn't alone; a woman stood next to him, wearing a wedding ring identical to Antonin's. I glanced at the woman discreetly. Her expression betrayed a clear reluctance to be near her "husband." I'm not a great judge of women, but even I could tell that such a beautiful, young woman would hardly willingly marry a sadist like Dolohov. Even I would have been better suited for the role... I quickly pushed those thoughts aside. This marriage was clearly a sham, most likely arranged by the Dark Lord, but why? Questions flashed through my mind, the answers to which I didn't yet know. Who was this woman? Was she a Death Eater? Was she loyal to the Dark Lord, or might my double game yield an unexpected ally?
