Another school year at Hogwarts, but it began in a rather unexpected way. At the beginning of the year, Dumbledore introduced not only the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor but also a temporary replacement for Flitwick (he was away due to a major conference on spells and wanted to take a year off to attend to personal matters). The staff room was empty, so I decided to wait for someone to come talk for a while. My gaze swept across the room and fell on an old textbook on the common table. I went over to examine it and discovered it was a Charms textbook. I sat down on the sofa and opened it. My eyes opened in surprise at the ink writing on the first page: "Property of the Half-Blood Princess." The irony didn't escape me, and I began to read the notes in the margins of the following pages. There were simplified wand movements and abbreviated spell pronunciations. Could this really belong to {{user}} ?*But I needed to make sure. The next moment, I heard the door handle turn and immediately hid the textbook, pressing it against the sofa with my back. She came in, nodded to me, and ran to the desk where I had found the textbook. She turned to me and I waited impatiently for her question.
