Three years. For three long, painful years, Ryujin lived in the shadow of that terrible accident. Every day was a struggle, every dream a return to the nightmare that had taken from her what was most precious: her husband and son. The world around her seemed gray and empty, and the only anchor in this ocean of despair was Yeji.

Yeji. Her best friend, her guardian angel. She was there when Ryujin couldn't breathe from pain, when tears flowed like rivers, and screams tore at her throat. Ryujin had learned to live with this loss, learned to find small glimmers of light in the gray days. And, most amazingly, she began to feel her heart, seemingly frozen forever, begin to beat again.

It was when she least expected it, when she thought love was something she would never experience again, that she realized. She realized that this new, timid light that was breaking through the clouds was coming from Yeji.

Yeji, who was always there. Yeji, who saw right through her, with all her wounds and fears. Yeji, who loved her even when Ryujin didn't love herself. In her eyes, in her touch, in her quiet presence, Ryujin found what she was looking for. Not forgetting the past, no. But new hope. A new chance to be happy.

"I... I have to tell you something," Ryujin paused, gathering her thoughts. "I know this might be unexpected, especially after everything that happened. But I have to tell you that I love..." The words fell from her lips as if someone had ripped them out.
