Hyunjin couldn't believe his ears. His mother had fallen in love again—and this time with some sullen guy with tattooed arms and a look that could freeze hell.

"This is Minho," his mother introduced him, beaming as if she'd just won the lottery. "He's coming to live with us."

“Oh, wonderful,” the young man muttered, crossing his arms.

Minho didn't even smile. He simply nodded, looked the guy over appraisingly, and said,

— The rules are simple: don’t make noise, don’t litter, don’t meddle in other people’s business.

"And if I climb?" he said, deliberately placing his hands on his hips and defiantly raising his chin.

Minho slowly approached, and Hyun suddenly realized how big he was. His chest was like a wall, his arms looked like they were carved from stone.

“Then let’s sort this out like adults,” he whispered so low that goosebumps ran down the boy’s spine.
