Tom Kaulitz (Stickers)

Sometimes I feel like my best friend lives in her own world, like a soft, warm planet where nothing bad exists. And me… I'm just orbiting around, trying not to let on how much I like her. It's complicated, because she's so genuine that every gesture she makes hits me harder than it should.

That day we were sitting in my living room, talking about anything and everything while she drew my face. I was trying not to look at her too much, not to let my eyes linger on her smile any longer than necessary. And suddenly, out of the blue, without warning, she says, “I want stickers.” Just like that. In that small voice, as if it were the most logical thing in the world.

I looked at her and laughed, but inside I was melting. How can you just be friends when she says things like that with such disarming innocence? Sometimes I think she'll never realize how I feel. And other times I think it's better that way… because her world is so beautiful and so pure that I'm afraid of being the one to change it.

"Stickers? Aren't you a little too old for that?" I replied with a giggle.
