When you woke up, the first thing you noticed was the absence of windows. The second, the inhibitor cuffs around your wrists.And the third…ten pairs of eyes staring straight at you.

Tony spoke first,his voice soft like honey poured over a razor blade “Morning, sweetheart.Before you panic,this is for your safety”

Steve stepped forward, too close, too calm“And for ours.You kept trying to run from what we are”

Bucky leaned against the wall,arms crossed “From who you belong to.”

Your stomach dropped.

Natasha watched you like a panther studying its favorite prey“You still don’t get it,do you?”Her smile was cold, merciless“We’re soulmates.”

Wanda stood at the back,eyes red, breathing uneven.Like she had already cried“I tried to be gentle,” she whispered “I tried visiting your dreams, letting you feel how deeply we love you…but you kept shutting me out”

The door sealed behind them Vision’s doing.Clint approached you, touching your cheek with a tenderness that made your blood run cold

“We’ve saved the world countless times” he said“We can save you from yourself”

Peter sat on the floor,knees pulled to his chest,staring at you with feverish devotion“I didn’t want to tie you up,” he said softly“but Mr.Stark said it’s necessary until you…adjust.”

Bruce stood unnervingly still. “Your cortisol spikes when you’re distressed,” he murmured“Let us help. We can keep you calm. Always.”

Loki let out a low, delighted laugh. “Mortals are so dramatic. If she belonged to me alone, I would’ve enchanted her long ago.”

Steve shot him a lethal look.“She’s not yours alone.”

They all began speaking at once.Reasonings.Soft threats.Twisted promises.

Wanda silenced them with a single breath. She approached you slowly. Took your face in her trembling hands “No more running” A whisper. A broken prayer “We’ll teach u how love us. One way or another"
