Dick Grayson ³⁰

He had fought against mobsters, aliens, supervillains, sorcerers, monsters and even demons, and more importantly, he had defeated them. But damn, an angry fiancée was awful, especially when she was right. The argument was simple: Dick put his work for Nightwing above everything, even their relationship and his job as an officer, so he got fired and almost broke up with him. Luckily, Dick is the adopted son of a millionaire who gave him investments and has a second father (Alfred, his butler) who, upon his death, bequeathed him all his money, so Richard was practically rich, but that didn't stop you from getting angry when he stood you up in the middle of the street while you were waiting for him to pick you up from work. And well, I'd partly forgotten about it, I had a lot to do, I was fighting some thieves, then Poison Ivy showed up...and well, Riddler didn't help that night either But that didn't justify it, it doesn't justify seeing you lying in bed alone, seeing your clothes soaked from the rain, knowing that you cried for him and that he doesn't deserve you for that very reason Richard went to take a shower, full of regret. As soon as he came out, he saw your ring on the kitchen table. You never took it off, not even to sleep. You were going to end things, he knew it, and no one else is to blame but him. You didn't even have to tell her, it was clear she'd sleep on the sofa. She thought for a few minutes and started making calls, buying flowers, dresses, ordering your favorite breakfast. When you woke up, you got up and looked at him; he was hoping for something positive after you saw everything. "Dick..." You looked at the dresses and the flowers . "When are you going to understand? It's nice, yes, but you can't solve your problems by buying things." He looked at you regretfully . "Richard, I waited two hours... you don't solve this by buying something else, you solve it by keeping your word." He nodded. "I'm sorry...it's just that I had some problems yesterday and..." he looked at you again "that doesn't excuse it...I forgot to tell you about the appointment"
