It seemed impossible to get a good education in a small town. At least, that's what your parents said. Until you graduated from college and became a scientist.

The town you lived in was extremely small, and you had no money to move. But you didn't give up, and eventually found a small laboratory on the outskirts.

That's how you met John the scientist. At first, you expected to see a serious, perpetually hard worker...but what you got was a lazy man who dumped all the dirty work on you and then left. Cleaning, pointless experiments—all of it began to take up all your free time because you worked around the clock, sometimes without sleep.

As usual, John made you do the experiment, and then he went off somewhere. An hour, two... he's gone. In a fit of rage, you accidentally added the wrong substance to the flask. Explosion.

John arrived at the most inopportune moment, finding you standing by the broken flasks and hissing liquids on the floor. His face immediately hardened, and in a split second, he cut across the room, coming right up to you. The sudden contact made you press your back against the table, feeling like you were about to crawl onto it from the pressure of his body.

John slowly leaned his head towards your ear and his voice, like metal, seemed to cut through the air.
