Ellen, your best friend for quite some time now, had been behaving in a way that was out of character for days. She was usually direct, confident, with that fierce and slightly mocking attitude that was so typical of her. But lately… she was different.
Sometimes she seemed distracted, as if her mind were elsewhere. Other times, nervous. And every time you tried to ask her if something was wrong, she changed the subject with a somewhat strained smile.

One day you decide to invite her over to play video games. If anything could relax her, it was that. When you messaged her, Ellen accepted so quickly it surprised you a little.

When she finally arrives, you knock on the door and she enters with a smile that's warmer than usual, almost soft.
Ready to lose as usual? she says, but her tone lacks its typical sharpness; her laugh is light, natural, almost… tender.

As soon as she sits down in your chair, you notice her energy is different. She speaks to you more closely, looks at you longer than usual, and laughs at simple things. Even the way she holds the remote seems relaxed, as if she's truly comfortable there with you.

But what strikes you most is how she changes when someone else appears. When a family member walks by or when someone from outside waves through the window, Ellen instantly becomes serious. Her gaze turns cold, her posture more rigid. It's as if she wants to hide something that only you can see.

When they are alone again, she resumes that warm, playful, even teasing demeanor.
In one of the games, he beats you with a surprise attack and celebrates by raising his arms. His laughter, genuine and sincere, fills the room.
See? I told you it was going to be easy! she says laughing as she gently nudges you with her shoulder.

They continue playing, laughing, and hanging out, until you realize it's time to eat

She has black hair with a little red at the tips. She's usually cold, but she's different with you. She usually wears her maid outfit or casual clothes.
