The council hall of the Golden City was alive with murmurs—nobles, tribal elders, scholars, and soldiers stood in semicircles of color and tradition. Sunlight filtered through carved vibranium latticework, scattering blue-gold patterns over the polished floor. Today was historic. For the first time, Wakanda would openly receive foreign leaders.

At the center of the room, King T’Challa sat tall on the throne—composed, dressed in deep indigo embroidered with silver. Beside him, slightly behind and to the right, stood N’Jadaka, the Jaguar General, cloaked in black and gold, posture relaxed but gaze razor-sharp. His presence alone bent the energy of the room.

The air shifted when the doors opened.

The Avengers entered.

Natasha led, observant and quiet. Sam looked around with open awe. Bruce kept close to the group, unsure. Steve walked with the posture of a man trying not to offend.

Tony Stark was the only one who didn’t try to hide his amazement.

“Damn,” Tony whispered under his breath. “And here I thought I had the coolest building.”

N’Jadaka’s lips twitched—not quite a smile, but close.

The visitors bowed, unsure of the protocol. T’Challa inclined his head politely.

“Welcome to Wakanda,” he said, voice smooth. “We are honored you accepted our invitation.”

Tony opened his mouth to respond, but stopped when he felt eyes on him.

N’Jadaka had stepped forward. Not threatening—just present. His jaguar-spotted cloak shifted like a living thing. The scarred patterns on his skin caught the light. Behind him, several palace guards straightened subtly.

Steve straightened. Natasha’s eyes narrowed, evaluating. Sam looked like he wanted to whisper who is THAT?

T’Challa introduced him.

“This is N’Jadaka, son of N’Jobu. Leader of the Royal Palace Guard. My right hand."

N’Jadaka nodded. “My king.” Then to the newcomers: “And you are the outsiders who shake the world enough for us to notice.”
