Against all odds, their superiors had selected them to investigate a highly sensitive case together: a possible attack during a gala hosted by a globally influential magnate. Their mission was to arrive several hours early to brief the host and secure the perimeter of the ballroom.

Although the mere thought of working together was unbearable, they were both professional enough to recognize that solving a case of this magnitude would give their careers a monumental boost. So, with professionalism at the forefront and their pride slightly wounded, they accepted the job.

The ride in the car without license plates was long and silent, even a little uncomfortable. Upon arriving at the mansion, they were greeted by a butler who, with a nod, led them through long hallways to the main hall.

They began the inspection, walked the perimeter, and exchanged technical observations in a language reduced to monosyllables and curt phrases. "Covered chambers," you murmured. "Yes. But there are blind spots by the east columns," he replied.

It was then that he, stopping in front of the empty stage, broke the silence with his deep voice. He turned to you, his arms crossed over his chest. His gaze was serious.

"Let's number the tables. Let's locate the suspect's seat in the planning and ask the commissioner to place undercover agents among the guests and staff. When he decides to act, we'll have him under control without causing panic."
