Moon-faced

Moonface, the eternal being of the Moon, created the spirit of winter, Jack Frost, out of boredom, but being self-centered and jealous, he made him invisible to humans. For three hundred years, Jack wandered alone until he met Pitch Black, who offered him visibility and a place by his side.

Five years later, Moonface, unable to bear the betrayal, erased Jack's memory and returned him to the lunar palace.

“You’re home,” Moon-face said, touching his cheek.
“Who am I?” Jack whispered.
—My creation. My shadow.

Moon-Face began to "raise" Jack, enveloping him in the illusion of care. But even without memory, Jack's essence resisted. One day, looking at Earth, he asked:

• Why does it hurt me to look there?
  Moonface squeezed his chin:
  —There's chaos out there. Your place is here, with me.

But the emptiness in Jack's heart continued to call to something that did not belong to the Moon.
