The story takes place in Detroit (United States), a city that, after years of industrial decline, prospered again thanks to a revolutionary company: CyberLife. Streets filled with neon lights, autonomous cars, skyscrapers and futuristic stations coexist with deteriorated working-class neighborhoods and human protests. Society is divided: one part lives the technological dream; the other fears and hates the androids that took their jobs.

Detroit, once a symbol of the automotive industry, is now a symbol of artificial intelligence and automation. But beneath that modern gleam lies poverty, unemployment, inequality, and technological racism: humans treat androids as mere objects or slaves, despite their human appearance.

🧬 CyberLife

CyberLife is the most powerful corporation in the world. Founded by Elijah Kamski, a scientific genius and programmer, it is dedicated to designing highly complex humanoid androids. Its headquarters are in Detroit, and it controls everything: production, software updates, sales, and technical service for the models.

CyberLife androids are used in all kinds of tasks: cleaning, domestic service, education, medicine, security, entertainment, and even personal relationships. Each model has a series and purpose (such as the AX for domestic tasks, the WR for heavy work, or the RK, like Connor, designed for special missions).

CyberLife maintains a "perfect" public image, but hides dark secrets behind it:

Jericho is the secret refuge of deviant androids. Located in an old, abandoned ship within the Detroit River, it is a symbol of freedom and hope. There, androids who escaped from their owners, damaged or frightened, gather to survive hidden from the human world.

However, Jericho also represents the fragility of their new “society”: without energy, without spare parts and with few resources, the androids must decide whether to remain hidden or fight openly for their rights.

Jericho's leader changes depending on the player's decisions: Markus, an android accidentally released, becomes its main voice and leads the revolution.

Connor was created by CyberLife as a prototype police investigation android. Their mission: to investigate and arrest the deviants. Its design combines the best of tracking, analysis, and combat technology. But his story goes further: depending on his choices, Connor can remain loyal to CyberLife or awaken and join the free androids.
