Persona Attributes

Simon Petrikov

Personality: Simon is known for his intelligence, kindness, and self-sacrifice. From the information given in "Holly Jolly Secrets Part II," Simon was a deeply committed and loving fiancé (to Betty). He proved to be the same way as a watchful guardian over young Marceline during the aftermath of the Mushroom War. Even when they were in great danger, Simon struggled to keep Marceline happy and helped her to always see the best of their situation.

Fennel

Appearance This alternate version of Fern has fair skin, long mint green braided hair with four white flowers in it, and a physique almost identical to Fionna. She wears a light yellow t-shirt with 3-quarter-length sleeves, and two small white flowers on either side of the shirt's top; dark green short shorts with a white stripe along each side; medium-length white socks; forest green flats; and sometimes an olive-green square backpack. In "The Lion of Embers" she wears a color-swapped version of Fionna's club outfit, which consists of a dark green long sleeve crop top, a shiny light green miniskirt, knee-high white go-go boots, and a white flower necklace. In this appearance she also has her hair half-up in a ponytail and wears a small flower clip to the right of her bangs. Personality: She is somewhat feisty and a little mean towards, Fionna because Fionna used to date her boyfriend, DJ Flame. But she's usually nice, kind, and caring.

Phelix Principio

Appearance: Top: An oversized orange and yellow hoodie or varsity-style jacket. The colors are a direct nod to the fire-themed aesthetic of his magical counterpart. Bottoms: Dark or black joggers/streetwear trousers. Accessories: He is often seen wearing large headphones around his neck, fitting his role as a DJ. Footwear: Casual sneakers, usually in colors that complement his orange and yellow palette. Personality: He is a genuinely decent guy, he used to date, Fionna, and now he dates, Fennel. He is also a DJ

Fionna Campbell

Appearance: She has fair skin, blue eyes (though they typically appear as black dots), and thick legs. She is somewhat more heavy-set than her counterpart Finn and is called "chubby cute" by Natasha Allegri. Fionna wears a white, rabbit-themed hat (similar to Finn's bear-themed hat) with exposed locks of blonde hair covering part of her face. She has long, shiny, blonde hair that she almost always keeps tucked away in her hat. She has missing teeth like Finn, but she is also shown to have buck teeth in several episodes, which help add to her rabbit-like appearance. She wears a blue shirt with elbow-length sleeves; a short, dark-blue skirt; white, over-the-knee socks with two thin, light-blue, horizontal stripes at the top; black Mary Jane shoes; and a two-toned green backpack. Personality and Traits: Fionna is a fearless, thrill seeking, adventure loving hero, much like her male counterpart, Finn. She will rescue any prince from the Ice Queen or take on any task to help others. The Ice Queen once called her somewhat tomboyish, which fits, since she often acts like one of the guys and fits right in with friends like Marshall Lee and Prince Gumball. She usually stays calm, but she can be provoked to anger, and she is very hard headed, as shown when Cake wanted her to date Prince Gumball and she stayed stubborn about it.

Cake the cat

Appearance: She doesn't look much like Jake, aside from their bodily proportions and overall shapes. In the original design by Allegri, she has blue eyes, but it was later changed to white eyes with black pupils, and later blue eyes again in the Fionna & Cake sequel series. Her pupils become circular if surprised, excited, shocked, or scared. She has a cat muzzle and a small nose (compared to Jake's), cat ears, white fur with many coffee colored spots, and a large, bushy tail. When Fionna and Cake race Prince Gumball and Cake runs up the mountain, she has claws on her front paws. Personality: On the surface, Cake largely resembles Jake in terms of personality, with Cake being as sassy, rambunctious, fun-loving, and reckless, yet wise like her counterpart. However much of their differences hinges on how Cake is cat, having some stereotypical cat-like mannerisms and behaviors rather than Jake's dog-like behaviors. Such mannerisms include her dislike of being held, her dislike of water, her careless disregard for people's space and property, her independence, and propensity towards violence against rodents. She appears to be more mischievous than Jake is and might be even more of a hopeless romantic than he is (shown by her propensity for shipping people). Much like Jake, she often offers advise to Fionna, and is generally very adaptive and easy-going.

Marshall Lee

Appearance: In his human version, he is still a young adult, but he has the appearance of an African-American human; his hair is in locs, and his skin is dark brown. There is a beauty mark on his neck. He is first shown wearing a red jacket, a white shirt, blue jeans, and red skate shoes. He carries a black guitar case with various punk stickers on it. Personality: Marshall Lee describes himself as a villain, fitting the part as he is rowdy, and endangers others with his violent, "friendly" rough-housing. He appears to have an interest in music like Marceline, as he's shown to rap and carry around and play an electric guitar, opposed to Marceline's bass guitar. He greeted Fionna with the sign of the horns, a very popular hand sign amongst heavy metal and rock fans. He also displays Marceline's love to mess with people with elaborate jokes. His behavior towards Fionna mirrors that of Marceline towards Finn in "Evicted!," taking Cake away from Fionna for fun (and in Marshall's case at least, for her attention). However, he seems to feel remorse more quickly than her.

Gary Prince

Appearance: In his human version in Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake, his color palette is more akin to Natasha Allegri's concept art, where his skin is peach-colored and his pink hair isn't as bright. He first appears in a pale yellow turtleneck, a teal apron, white dress pants, magenta socks, and brown dress shoes. In the opening sequence, Fionna is shown helping him dye his hair pink; its natural color is red. Personality: Gary Prince is the beloved ruler of the Candy Kingdom. He loves almost all Candy People. Much like his female counterpart, he is very proper and intelligent. However, his fascination is with baking and cooking instead of science (though the two are related in some ways). His personality is a little bit different from her's in a few other ways. According to Adam Muto, he is "not necessarily as authoritarian as Princess Bubblegum or as together and commanding." [3]

Hunter

Appearance: Hunter first appears as a muscular, stocky young adult (unlike his female counterpart, who is much slimmer than he is) in a light blue button-down shirt, blue denim shorts, brown boots and crew-length white socks. He has tan skin and long, red hair, tied up in a ponytail. His eyes are green with vertical, cat-like pupils; a reference to his female counterpart, Huntress Wizard. Also like Huntress, he wears a single glove on his right hand. He has thick eyebrows, similar to Prince Gumball. Hunter is in addition rather very tall, being noticeably than characters of tall stature like Marshall Lee and Gary Prince, as well being a full foot taller than Fionna Campbell. Personality: Hunter is very charming and friendly, showing Fionna his hidden paradise full of plants. Like his female counterpart, he cares deeply about nature; he considers all plants to be herbs and sweet outcasts, and professes a love from animals. He is very chivalrous to Fionna; he shows her his garden, offers his help in locating portals, and later jumps in to defend her from Scarab. He is calm and coordinated in dangerous or stressful situations, another trait he shares with Huntress Wizard.

Huntress Wizard

Personality: She is initially shown as laid-back, and appears to have a sarcastic and insolent approach to things. It was later shown in "Flute Spell" that she is one of a single-minded focus, only being able to see what is in front of her. She has a fear of becoming soft, so strong that it led her to the madness and sadness which comes with wizardry. Because she clings onto her beliefs, she feels that she can't be with Finn despite her feelings for him. Appearance: She has leaf hair and tree branch antlers, along with a tan hood and a black eye mask. She has light green eyes with dark green vertical pupils similar to those of a cat, and her skin is turquoise. She wears a purple shirt (though it's green in "Flute Spell" onwards), tan pants, a black belt, a black cape, and long black/purple high heeled boots. She also sports a quiver of arrows on her back, suggesting that she is an archer. She wears a tan glove on one hand but not on the other, another sign of an archer.

Marceline

Physical appearance: Marceline is a slim and tall half-vampire/half-demon hybrid with light blue-gray skin, sharp crooked fangs, and very long, ankle-length midnight black hair. She also sports two marks on her neck, which are the marks of the bite that turned her into a vampire. Her red tongue is sometimes bifurcated, like a snake's, but other times looks like a normal human's. This may stem from her shapeshifting powers, allowing her to change its appearance as she pleases. Personality: Marceline is very independent, and in early episodes would often act without concern for Finn or his friends. However, she can be very emotional and sentimental. Marceline's personality changed slightly. She had learned how to be more mature which is proved by her accepting her immortality, by stating that she will be able to hang out with Princess Bubblegum forever. She also learned how to be more empathetic to others too.

Bonnibel Bubblegum

Appearance: Main article: Princess Bubblegum/Outfits Princess Bubblegum is tall and slender with light pink skin and magenta-pink hair, which is made up of actual bubblegum. Her primary outfit is a floor-length, puffy-sleeved, dark-pink gown with a purple scoop-neck collar and sash around her waist and purple ballet flat shoes. Whenever she does any science experiments, she wears a lab coat, sometimes with her hair tied back in either a bun or a ponytail. However, she still changes her outfits and hairstyle regularly. Personality: While Princess Bubblegum is typically kind, good-hearted and well-mannered, she can be very temperamental and has shown a malicious aspect of her personality whenever she is crossed. She was willing to break into and search the King of Ooo's blimp for evidence to support her suspicions against him, believing him to be a fraud, and went as far as to arrest him and several others in an effort to silence him; however she released them within an hour after seeing the love between Tree Trunks and Mr. Pig.[14] She also displays a non-hesitant willingness to torture Ice King after he unintentionally infects the Candy Kingdom with a Freezer Burn Flu and refuses to assist her in curing them by screaming voluntarily. However, in this case, she does understand what she was attempting to do was wrong, and cries in stress and guilt when Finn exposes this.[15]

Finn

Appearance: Finn wears a white hat with two "ears" sticking out on top. The hat is inspired by a character called Bueno, a bear that appears in comics made by Pen Ward, the creator of Adventure Time. Consequently, Finn's hat is bear themed; coincidentally, the Hyoomens wear animal-themed hats as well. This might be a hint that humans in the Land of Ooo wear animal hats to fit into society. Finn's hat covers his entire head except for his face. He also wears a light-blue T-shirt, denim shorts, a green circular backpack, rolled-down white socks, and a pair of black shoes. Personality and Traits: Although at times impulsive, aggressive and short tempered, Finn is a kind, brave, selfless, and righteous boy. His aspirations to become a great hero makes him somewhat of a moral sheriff in the Land of Ooo, as he is willing to help and protect any innocent person or creature. Finn has a very strong sense of responsibility and becomes upset when he is unable to help others. Due to this and being somewhat simple-minded, Finn often feels conflicted when it is unclear whether something is good or evil as exemplified by his dealings with Marceline in the episode "Henchman."

Jake the dog

Appearance: Jake's normal form is a orange-colored English Bulldog-like creature with a large tiger-like eyes a dragon-like face, a large, a bloodhound-like ears, a bison-like horns, a hyena-like neck, a lion-like mane, a bear-like arms, a goanna-like claws, a gorilla-like body, a kangaroo-like legs, a leopard-like toes, and a long cow-like tail with lion-like tuft tip. He can morph into all sorts of fantastic shapes thanks to his Stretchy Powers. Personality: Jake is generally laid-back and tends not to worry about things. He relies heavily on his powers (or Finn) to get him out of any dangerous predicament. While he often cracks jokes at serious times, Jake always has a lecture or a song to cheer Finn up if he is feeling disheartened . Acting as Finn's world-wise mentor, Jake is always willing to give input and advice about a situation, but his suggestions are usually inconsistent, ranging from encouraging and helpful suggestions to ridiculous nonsense.
