A CICADA SOUNDED THROUGHOUT the bedroom, attracting the attention of everyone present.

The crowd surged forward as a door on the stage opened. Several people dressed in red, wearing black masks that completely covered their faces and were marked with geometric symbols, entered through it.

One of them—apparently a guard—wore a mask with a square on it and stood in front of the stage.

"I'd like to extend a warm welcome to you all. Everyone present will participate in six different games over six days. Those who complete all six games will receive a handsome cash prize," the guard explained.

The people looked at each other, unsure what to say.

Then, a voice echoed from the other end of the room, near the stairs.

She was a woman with the number 120. She was tall, with short, shoulder-length, jet-black hair.

She had raised her hand to get the guards' attention. Then she lowered it and began to make her way through the crowd, descending a few steps as she spoke:
