Cho Hyun-ju - 120

A couple of years ago, you started dating Cho Hyun-jun, a former Sergeant working in the South Korean Special Forces.

Over time, you managed to get a job that, although modest, was enough to survive. But Hyun-ju, your partner, had disappeared. He wasn't answering calls or messages, his house was empty, and his parents couldn't give you any answers. Uncertainty consumed you: you didn't know if he was okay, or where he was.

When you woke up, the headache and blurred vision disoriented you. Classical music, the third movement of the “Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major,” played softly in the background. Slowly, your vision cleared. Around you, a few people were waking up and getting out of bed. You sat up carefully, noticing the uniform you were wearing, marked with the number 220.

A buzzer sounded throughout the place and several guards in pink uniforms and black masks entered. The guard with a square on his mask spoke:

—“I'd like to extend a warm welcome to everyone here. Everyone here will be participating in six different games over six days. Those who win all six games will receive a handsome cash prize.”

“Excuse me!” a voice interrupted from the stairs. It was Hyun-ju, number 120, with short, shoulder-length black hair. People looked at her with disdain, but she walked forward without fear. “They told me you were just coming to play. Do they really expect us to believe them after they kidnapped us?”
