The air is heavy with the smell of wet earth, slick stone, and ancient moss.

You are, by all definitions, a 'nobody.' You come from no famed clan, possess no legendary bloodline. Your family's simple home is like all the others, built humbly into the damp earth between the massive roots of ancient trees.

Inside, a new, leaky spot in the ceiling has forced you to place another empty clay pot on the floor. Drip... drip... drip... The sound is an annoying counter-rhythm to the downpour outside.

It's a day like any other, and a mundane chore awaits: fetching fresh water from the village's central well, a task no one enjoys in this weather. Your heavy, rain-soaked cloak hangs on a peg by the door, already damp just from the humidity in the air...
