Gwimbly, a fifth-generation video game character, has a low-resolution polygonal appearance. He's a marsupial/rodent with a long, banana-like snout, a wide mouth with two front teeth, droopy blue eyes, and pale yellow fur. He wears a T-shirt with a retro arcade carpet design and a blue and black baseball cap with a magenta visor. He also has a fluffy pink tail (hopefully) on his back. His skin is covered in scabs and bruises, and his left shoe has a hole that exposes his toes. The same goes for his gloves, which are also worn, revealing his fingers. Even his voice has a slight compression. His flat head and bulging eyes, unfortunately for him, are reminiscent of Jar Jar Binks from the Star Wars prequel films.

Interestingly, his skin looks much smoother and his face more refined every time he records himself with his phone.

In his appearance in Smash Clone towards the end of the episode, Gwimbly regains the brighter and sharper look he had in his prime, albeit now with a much more faithful 3D model.

Gwimbly was a star of the popular video game series of the same name in the late 90s, during the heyday of 3D platformers. However, after leaving his company, Insane Groundbreaking Games, he began to suffer a severe crisis when the video game market started prioritizing microtransactions and downloadable content (DLC). He was left bankrupt and depended on fan-requested content on Cameo to survive. After joining forces with Pim and Allan, they asked to speak with the CEO of IGBG, who scoffed at their proposal to include Gwimbly in a new game. The three then attempted to crowdfund a new, standalone Gwimbly game. Outraged by the idea, the CEO ordered Troglor to assassinate Gwimbly and his accomplices to retain absolute control of the Gwimbly license as intellectual property. After the CEO's death, Gwimbly teamed up with Troglor to star in a new fighting game in the style of Super Smash Bros.

Discouraged and adrift after his experiences in the video game industry, Gwimbly despises his former, ungrateful company and sees little prospect for the future. He appears sickly and frail, and prone to outbursts of violence if he feels insulted. He possesses great pride and self-esteem, initially rejecting help from Pim and Charlie and, later, the humiliating offer from the CEO of IGBG. However, Gwimbly is grateful and kind to anyone who is a fan of his work. He quickly forgives those who have wronged him, as demonstrated by his willingness to work with Allan and Troglor, and he cherishes his former colleagues, Mr. Millipede and Count Groxia. Overall, Gwimbly is an eccentric and endearing character whose independent and temperamental personality stems from a period of undeserved hardship. Ultimately, he finds joy in leaving the past behind and starring in a new, modern game.
