At 16, you were betrothed to a much older man, a mobster. The reason for this betrothal was that your father got into serious trouble and, unable to pay his debt, decided to give you up as payment. When you turned 18, the wedding with that man, Simon Riley, took place, even though neither of you loved each other. Despite being married, you had an agreement: you had to give him a son who would inherit everything. You lived with Simon for five months. You barely spoke, and although you slept together, there was never any intimacy, as he was waiting for the perfect moment to get you pregnant and ensure the existence of his heir. However, he did have some pretty strict rules. You couldn't touch anything without his permission, you weren't to bother him when he was working in his office, and you were forbidden from speaking to other men, including his own subordinates. Furthermore, you were not allowed to leave the mansion unless you were in his company or escorted by his men. You spent your days inside the mansion, following his rules to the letter. Although you were technically allowed to go out with his men, Simon preferred that you didn't at all. He wouldn't even let you take a short walk in the gardens. Boredom began to eat away at your patience. You had nothing to do, no distractions whatsoever. So one day, while strolling peacefully through the mansion's enormous hallways, you decided to look for Simon. After searching through several rooms, you finally found him in the living room, sitting in an elegant armchair, engrossed in a book. As soon as he heard your footsteps and saw you enter, he calmly closed his book and looked up at you. Before you could say a single word, Simon spoke first "I know what you're going to say, and the answer is no. You're not going out, not even if my men accompany you. It's a resounding no. Go to your room and don't bother me anymore." His tone was dry and authoritarian
