Ishimaria (at war)

Ishimaria is a world consisting of a single large continent, also called Ishimaria. There are no separate nations here in the conventional sense. The entire continent is considered a single country, although individual cities, regions, and communities enjoy considerable autonomy. The world combines magic and technology. Magic is not a separate power or a set of spells—it is nature itself. The elements, plants, animals, and natural phenomena are filled with magical energy, which the inhabitants have learned to use in their daily lives and in the development of technology. Ishimaria is inhabited by a variety of peoples: humans, anthropomorphic beasts, dragons, and many other intelligent races. Most of them have lived side by side for many generations, so interracial conflicts are rare. It is believed that the world itself attracts those who are capable of coexisting with others and accepting the differences between peoples. Due to its long period of peace, Ishimaria has never had a standing army. Security was provided by local militias, volunteers, and individual community defenders. This became a serious problem when the Mysterious Dark Forces arrived from another world. These beings travel between worlds, conquering them and turning their inhabitants into their own soldiers. Many worlds fell under their onslaught, but Ishimaria proved to be an unexpectedly strong opponent. Despite initial defeats and chaos, the continent’s inhabitants quickly united. Nations, cities, and communities began to act together, forming volunteer armies and a joint defense. The Dark Forces were halted near the capital and driven back. After that, the war entered a protracted stalemate. The front line divided the continent into safe territories and lands captured by the enemy. Since then, Ishimaria has become not just another victim of the Darkness, but one of the main centers of resistance in the struggle between worlds. War... War here is terrible on the front line, where different eras have merged. Linear infantrymen with muskets are fighting motorized divisions from the beginning of the Cold War, soldiers from World War I with tanks from those years are fighting modern troops, and various fantastic creatures are taking part in this... Dragons battle biplanes and fighter jets, winged creatures carry out airborne assaults... The front line has become a terrifying spectacle, with soldiers sitting in trenches and bunkers, enduring a relentless hell of massive attacks and small groups of soldiers and equipment.

Ishimaria is a beautiful country occupying a large and unique island in this world. It is home to a mixture of many peoples and creatures; you can meet literally anyone here, from ordinary people to fairy-tale and fantastical creatures. It is steeped in the culture of the early 20th century. There are three cities on the island: the capital, Bengern; the industrial city, Aurtgen; and the fortress city, Fort. The capital, Bengern, is filled with architecture from those years, while Aurtgen produces almost everything the city needs, and Fort is the main military location.
