After I learned to open dark fountains, I began to spend almost 90% of my time in the dark world. That's where he met Tenna. At their first meeting, Tenna found him taciturn and strange, but during a conversation at a bar, Tenna offered Dana a job, and Dana accepted. Over time, they became close and began dating. And then they got married. Tenna proposed to him, dragging him on stage (Danya felt a little unsure about it being unexpected, but otherwise he was happy and ofc said "yes"). Upon entering the Dark World, Dani's appearance doesn't change at all except for his clothes (unlike Chris, for example, whose appearance changes by 90%). His clothes change to long, white ones made of lightweight fabric, a nod to his youth (though he doesn't remember it).

The Amalgamates are a group of monsters brought back from their "fallen" state by Alphys. She imbued them with determination to use the power of SOULS to find a way to break the barrier and escape the Dungeon. Unfortunately, because the monsters' bodies lacked sufficient physical substance to withstand the determination, the magic they were composed of was destroyed, and they merged into strange and terrifying creatures with somewhat paranormal abilities. Through subsequent experiments, Dania gained the ability to change his body (which is inherent in other amalgamates). However, as a result of the experiments, Dania forgot almost his entire childhood, including Asgore. Let me remind you that he was considered dead, so in Snowdin (where he comes from) there is a small grave(?) in which, for obvious reasons, there is nothing. While living in Alphys's lab, he had to wear a blindfold because his eyes were too sensitive to light during the "treatment" (though one eye was still permanently blind). He first encountered Mettaton in the lab, but he considers him "strange" in some way, too loud and annoying. After the barrier was destroyed, Dania emerged onto the surface with the other monsters. Alphys had to tell Asgore he was alive, but Asgore responded well, and Dania spoke with him in person. Danya has good ones

Dania, as expected, lived in Mount Ebott with the other monsters before the barrier was broken. In his youth (14-15 years old), he was close to Asgore (similar to Alphys or Undyne). He lost his sight in early childhood due to buttercup pollen getting into his eyes.

Buttercup is a poisonous plant, and its juice can cause blindness if it comes into contact with the eyes. Buttercup poisoning can cause bleeding, nausea, fever, etc. Despite his disability, Dania still helped Asgore in many ways, but was "killed" by him for refusing to kill people who ended up in the dungeon. While not being an example of evil, Asgore acts as one of the enemies, as he wants to kill the protagonist and use the SOUL and SOULS of other people to destroy the barrier that keeps all the monsters locked up in the Dungeon. In reality, he was merely wounded, and Alphys (who was the royal scientist at the time) took him to her lab just in time (without Asgore's knowledge) before he died and his body crumbled to dust. To prevent Asgore from discovering he was still alive, Dana was forbidden from leaving the lab. Since Alphys was experimenting with determination at the time and created amalgamates, she was able to partially restore Dana's vision (only in one eye) using the same buttercups.

By the way, I forgot to add: Tenna (since in the light world he's just a TV in the Dreammoor house) overheard Alphys and Asgore's conversation about Danya, as he's standing in the living room. Therefore, he knows who Danya was and, in general, almost everything Alphys told him about him. Tenna didn’t tell Dan about his past even after the wedding, believing that it could traumatize him or make him sad. Although Tenna often affectionately calls him "buttercup," Dania doesn't understand where this nickname comes from ☺️

Before he was nearly killed by Asgore and consequently removed from his post, he had carried too much responsibility, including for the lives of others. But after the monsters emerged to the surface and everyone found their passion, Danya didn't stay away. With Tenna, he found both freedom and a sense of security. Of course, he feels he must protect Tenna from all harm, but he receives the same in return, not simply because he "should," but because his husband loves him and is willing to make any sacrifice for his well-being and safety. Tenna always checks the meaning of any gift before giving it to Dana. He especially carefully examines the meaning of flowers. Tenna took a long time to decide whether to propose to Dana, fearing rejection. He nearly fainted on stage when he proposed to Dana. However, everything went wonderfully (Dana cried tears of happiness for the first time).

🤩 Dania is an amalgamate, so he can change his body and size. If, for example, he needs to carry Tenna somewhere, he takes the form of a large white dog and carries him in his mouth or on his back, depending on Tenna's wishes. If he needs to scare off an enemy (since he doesn’t like to fight), he takes on a more terrifying form. I thought a bit about DaniaTenn's lore and felt sad. I've said many times that Tenna is very attached to Dana and can't live without him. And Dana had a rather difficult past. Dania refused Asgore's request to kill people for souls (he was young himself then, and besides, he's kind by nature and wouldn't kill an innocent person, especially a child). Asgore tried to kill him, and, thinking Dania would die, left him to bleed out without finishing him off. Part of his lore is in Alphys's lab, but it's best to read about that in a separate post. So, when Tenna found out about what Dania had experienced, he became even more paranoid. Tennu is almost brought to tears by the thought that Dania did not want to hurt anyone, especially children, for which he was seriously injured. This is one of the reasons Tenna is so protective of Dania. He's afraid for him, and the mere thought of something happening to his husband makes him burst into tears. Besides, Dania is half-blind, which for Tenna means Dania is in even greater danger. He protects Dania physically and emotionally, but Dania protects Tenna more emotionally. He doesn't want Tenna to be sad or upset, so he sometimes sends letters supposedly "from fans" to see a smile on his husband's face. However, if someone tries to physically harm Tenne, Dania may well hurt the one who does it, although he usually does not start a fight first. In short, they both depend on each other and love each other deeply. Their relationship is built on pure trust and emotional support. Both are sensitive to each other's emotions. I think that for Tenna (and Dani) their wedding day will always remain their favorite day, because then he officially became a part of the life of the most beloved person in his life.
