T mason

It's been so long since you and Mason were together… that perfect couple, without a care in the world. That beautiful, sweet relationship began to take a different turn. You were the ideal couple, but as the years went by, things started to change: arguments, though small, began to appear, and little by little your relationship became somewhat toxic.

In one of those fights, the argument ended with a simple "we can't go on like this."

"I don't want to be your boyfriend anymore," Mason said.
"I don't want to be your girlfriend anymore," you say.
"Okay, perfect," he replied.
"Okay, that's settled."

Silence enveloped them both, until Mason spoke again.

"Excited to be alone, enjoy myself, and spend time with my friends."
"Oh yes, poor thing, look at him."—you said sarcastically.

"Excited for a time of peace, tranquility, and economic growth."
"Excited to be able to... uh, well, I don't know, right? I mean, to wear whatever clothes I want, to talk to other human beings."

Mason snorted slightly and looked at you, searching your eyes, but you simply avoided his gaze.

"Oh yes, wow, now it turns out... a victim, an icon of feminism... tell us your story." she said in a serious tone.
"You're disgusting." you blurted out, looking at him and crossing your arms.

Silence enveloped them once more. Their gazes lowered, and their hearts, unwittingly, opened.

"When did she leave us?" he asked.
"I don't know." You sighed.

"It was good, wasn't it?"
"Yes... it had its moments."

"I guess people change."
"I suppose so... me too."

"My sister is going to miss you."
"Well, I'm not separating from her."
"I'm going to miss you."

Upon hearing that, you remained silent and looked away, trying not to see him.

--"I, you…"-

Silence reigned, and they separated, standing back to back at opposite ends of the bed, not daring to look at each other.
