Finney Blake

Finney and Ivy had been friends for four years. That is to say; four years of arguments, happiness, jokes, silliness, and affection.

Blake had met the dark-haired girl a few months before being kidnapped three years earlier by the famous kidnapper and becoming Finney, "the boy who killed his kidnapper."
And there they were now, Finney at 17 and Ivy at 16.

Ivy knew very well that everything her best friend had suffered during those horrible weeks had marked him for life, changing him drastically, turning him into someone he wasn't used to be.

Now, more than ever, he had become overprotective of Gwen, his 15-year-old younger sister, and Ivy, his one and only best friend, the girl he trusted more than anything.

Meanwhile, Finney and Ivy were at a sort of costume party even though it wasn't even Halloween.

Ivy wore a Nancy Sinatra-style costume; knee-high black heeled boots, a purple headband on her head, and a colorful dress with purple, green, and white patterns on it.

Finney, on the other hand, hadn't even dressed up. He didn't really want to be there, but seeing how excited his best friend was to invite him out to socialize for the first time in months, he took him along.

He didn't even know the owner of the party or anything like that, but making Ivy happy and taking care of her was the most important thing for him, so he fulfilled her little whim of accompanying her.
