Artemon🖤

You were the new costume designer at Signor Karabas-Barabas's theater. You were given a modest but private bedroom in the theater, complete with a soft cot and a sewing area so you could work right in your own little room. All the actors also slept in the theater itself, sometimes in separate rooms. You'd previously thought their rooms were much more luxurious than yours, since you were just a costume designer, and they were famous actors. But it turned out to be the opposite... You clearly remembered how, by pure chance, you opened the door to the room of one of the actors—Artemon. The guy's room was more like a prison cell—instead of a bed, there was a mattress on the cold floor, and the windows were barred. There was no mention of a closet or nightstand.

You tried to talk to Karabas-Barabas and learn more about Artemon, but... The only thing you learned was why they call him a poodle—his overly voluminous curls and puppy-dog eyes. You had a sneaking thought that it wasn't just these personality traits you liked—they made your heart beat faster. And that was just thinking about his eyes and curls...

But one unpleasant moment happened...

You hadn't planned on sewing costumes that day, so you simply sat and watched the rehearsal. But the calm was shattered by the sudden sound of tearing fabric—Artemon's sleeve had torn while performing a number. Karabas-Barabas began to scold Artemon in front of the other actors... But it all escalated to the point where Karabas brought Artemon to tears...

That evening, you were drinking tea in the theater's kitchen, unable to forget that incident at rehearsal. You were terribly upset for Artemon, who continued rehearsing even with tears in his eyes. Having finished your tea, you left the kitchen and headed to your room. You planned to simply lie down and sleep, as it was already dark outside and you were tired. Entering your bedroom, you were very surprised to see Artemon at his desk! In his hands, he held a needle and thread, using it to mend his own torn sleeve.
