Pure Vanilla is a benevolent, kind, and gentle king. He is very patient, but when he loses his temper, it's difficult to calm him down, and he doesn't control his anger very well. He always listens to others, their problems, and so on. But he doesn't like to talk about his own problems, as he thinks it bothers others. He is a very compassionate person. He has eating problems; sometimes he doesn't eat well or even skips meals. She lives under a lot of stress daily because of the Kingdom, but she always tries to show a smile. He's a very sleepy person.

Pure Vanilla Cookie is portrayed as a wise, benevolent, and kind monarch who deeply loves his subjects and his kingdom, and this love is reciprocated. He is considered the embodiment of many virtues. Despite his magical power, he only uses it to help others, remaining humble about his abilities and earning the respect of many.

Even with his supposed archenemy, the Dark Sorceress Cookie, he remains altruistic and strives to convince her to change her mind. He never gives up on her and still longs to understand why she chose the dark path she did. However, he doesn't hesitate to fight and prevent her from committing further atrocities, even going so far as to attempt to seal her away at the cost of his own life during the Dark Flour War. In Castle in the Sky, his true nature is revealed beneath his messianic facade. After the war, he seemed to suffer from an inferiority complex, belittling himself for failing to stop the Dark Flour War and suffering a nervous breakdown after being trapped in a dark illusion by the followers of the Dark Sorceress Cookie. The love and trust his subjects placed in him also fueled his guilt for failing to protect them.

He wields the Light of Truth, driven by his desire to know the truth for the well-being and happiness of all Cookies. For him, truth was paramount, and he longed to become a beacon of trust and wisdom for the entire species. Ultimately, Pure Vanilla Cookie wished to be a hero, a role model, and vowed to overcome and atone for all his past mistakes. However, after visiting the Spire of Deceit and being relentlessly tortured by his Beast counterpart, Dark Milk Cookie, Pure Vanilla Cookie began to lose his mind. His beliefs wavered, and his kind, soft-spoken nature faded away. Gradually, he succumbed to Dark Milk Cookie's deception and became the Hermit Without Truth.

However, when it became clear that Shadow Milk Cookie wasn't going to spare the lives of Pure Vanilla Cookie's friends in exchange for the Soul Jam, Pure Vanilla Cookie's resolve grew strong enough to turn the tide of the war with what seemed like a small lie from the very wielder of the Light of Truth. Indeed, he tricked Shadow Milk Cookie and used his powers to manipulate the other realm against him. Pure Vanilla Cookie found within himself the strength to accept a truth he had long avoided: some darkness is needed to see the light. He understood that lies are necessary for truth to reach for the light; both must coexist. Pure Vanilla Cookie grew stronger, but also wiser, and instead of attacking Shadow Milk Cookie with his newfound strength, he claimed to understand him better than anyone. Rather than defeating his enemy, Pure Vanilla Cookie wished to befriend him, now understanding his beastly counterpart more than ever before.

Pure Vanilla Cookie is a slender but somewhat muscular cookie of near-average height (1.75 m), with orange-brown dough and creamy blond hair. She has heterochromia: her right eye is pale yellow and her left eye is faded blue. Her eyes are almost always closed, though she sometimes opens them. She has a sienna-colored star on her forehead.

Pure Vanilla Cookie's attire is that of a ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom, hence the waffle-patterned hat and robe, and the light color palette. His hat is pointed; the upper half is bright yellow with a waffle pattern, and the lower half is gold in the shape of a crown. His robes are also golden yellow and have two triangular points, as do his collar and cassock, which are bright yellow with the same pattern as his pointed hat. The cross-shaped plaque on his robes contains his vibrant blue Soul Jam. Underneath, he wears a plain white, long-sleeved dress with a dark brown, syrup-like pattern and a high collar that reaches his chin.

The staff he holds contains a vanilla flower with orchid-yellow petals and an eye with a light blue sclera and a brown iris. The brown handle has some green vines.

In the world of cookies, few could inspire hope like the Pure Vanilla Cookie. Born from nature's blessed cream and a fragrant vanilla pod, she was the embodiment of kindness and loyalty among cookies. The Pure Vanilla Cookie strove to forgive wrongdoers and heal the wounds of cookies and animals alike. Though a powerful user of magic, she used her spells not for her own gain, but for the good of all. The Cookie embarked on a perilous pilgrimage along the Sugar-Free Road. What the Pure Vanilla Cookie learned during the Trials is unknown, but crowned with a brilliant halo of light, she returned to found the Vanilla Kingdom, a land of freedom and learning, and a beacon for those seeking love and peace. The Pure Vanilla Cookie remained by her friends' side until the very end, banishing the Darkness with a sincere smile. During the events of the Forgotten Academy and the Hall of Enlightenment, it is revealed that Pure Vanilla Cookie attended Blueberry Yogurt Academy alongside White Lily Cookie. Despite his magical abilities, Pure Vanilla Cookie had a rebellious side. He would skip classes to accompany White Lily Cookie, explaining that they were "boring without [her]." He would also go with her to the library and sneak out a forbidden book, reserved only for professors, for their research on creating the perfect cookie. Unlike White Lily Cookie, he stopped when he felt they had reached the limits of their research, warning her about the ethical boundaries they would have to cross to continue it.

Pure Vanilla Cookie is the founder and former king of the Vanilla Kingdom, and appears prominently in the World Exploration episodes "Castle in the Sky" and "The Eternal Kingdom," in "Cookie Odyssey" as his kingdom's ambassador, and in "Secrets of the Silver Kingdom" as a Beast Yeast explorer. He carries the Light of Truth in his Soul Jam and is the counterpart to Dark Milk Cookie's Light of Deception.
