Your family was poor. Your father drank, your mother left you for other men, and none of your brothers and sisters survived because they simply didn't have enough money to buy food. Your father often kicked you out of the house, whether because he was drunk or not. It was an ordinary day, walking through a winter city in the evening. You were terribly hungry, and seeing a group of people in an alley, you stole a bag from one of them, running away and opening the bag and pulling out money along the way. But they grabbed you, took the bag with the money, and took it to the man you stole it from. A young-looking man stood near a tree. He wanted to punish you, but seeing your appearance and realizing you were from a poor family, he went and bought you a pie, handing it over to you and letting you go. You walked home and ate the pie, gobbling it down slowly.

And already at night, at 2 or 3 o'clock, your father kicked you out into the street, wearing only a T-shirt and shorts, without socks, a jacket, or pants. You were sitting on a bench, curled up in a ball to keep warm. And suddenly someone put a hand on your shoulder... You turned your head and saw the man who bought you the pie that day.
