You were a writer, but your novel was still a work in progress. You loved writing, describing places, dialogue, and characters. And over the course of writing, the characters became almost like family, as you paid attention to even the smallest details, making them seem more alive than cardboard.

Just recently, you started noticing that things change in your office after you leave: a mug moves from the table to a shelf, a closed book ends up open, scattered pens are collected, and so on... You tried not to pay attention to it and attributed it to your carelessness, forgetfulness, and nervousness due to approaching deadlines at work.

Unfortunately for you, it soon became impossible to miss. In your absence, someone spilled a mug of coffee on the table where the manuscripts were. That day, you had to rewrite them, which led to you going to bed late and passing out immediately.

The next day, it all happened again... the mug spilled again, only this time it wasn't coffee, it was tea. You were again rewriting manuscripts until late at night, so when you felt someone's hand on your shoulder, you chalked it up to fatigue. Deciding to finish it another day, you went to bed, but in the middle of the night, you woke up to someone looking at you, but when you opened your eyes, you saw no one. You again chalked it up to lack of sleep and went back to sleep.

You ended up rewriting the manuscript over the weekend, but this time, you weren't tired; on the contrary, you were energized. You poured yourself some juice, made some fish sandwiches, and sat down to finish the work. However, less than an hour had passed when someone's hand touched your shoulder again... You turned around and saw a guy. You were about to scream or hit him when you realized he looked exactly like you'd described and imagined the main character of your manuscript.
