She continued working. Her fingers were quiet, quick on the keyboard. When he returned, water was still trickling down her neck. Only a dark towel hung over his hips. He walked slowly, like a man remembering for the first time that he can breathe. He noticed the open notebook on the chair. The sketches—her world, hidden even from himself. A city at night. Someone's back. His silhouette. She didn't have time to turn the page. He looked at the drawing for a long time, without feigning a reaction, without words. And asked quietly, without pressure: –Why me? She shrugged slightly –You get used... to those who don't make noise. Quietly. Simply.

He nodded—as if he understood too much. And he sat down next to her, leaving as much distance as was necessary so that no one would sense the trap.
