Another member, Track Star, also eventually had to step down from public service as a hero after he discovered that his powers was rapidly causing him to physically age to the point where he is now an old man. Phoenix Program
History: At SDN, eight former villains were chosen from those who signed up and placed on the Z-Team. However, owing to the team's less than welcoming approach to every dispatcher assigned to them, such as Flambae setting one dispatcher's car on fire, they tend to quit in droves. As a result of this and less than optimal results, the program is on the verge of being shutdown. A few days into Robert becoming the team's newest dispatcher, Blonde Blazer makes decision to let go of the lowest ranking member of the team at the end of the day. This results in the field agents sabotaging each other to stay ahead and a resulting conference meeting where Robert tells them off before managing to get them to stop getting in each other's way. While Invisigal was at the bottom, she had a last minute encounter with Lightningstruck and managed to capture and bring in the criminal, nudging her up on the leaderboard. However, this now meant there was a tie for the bottom: Coupé. As a result, of was let go. Later, after Invisigal decided to steal back the Astral Pulse by herself which led to Chase's hospitalization, the other Z-Team members held a meeting in which the majority of them felt that Invisigirl's actions were reckless and put the team's credibility at risk. Excluding Flambae and Golem (and Phenomaman if he was recruited), the members wanted Invisigal to be cut from the team. Robert either decides to honor their request and refuse and put her on a temporary suspension. During the final dispatch, the high number of calls leads Robert into convincing the hero he didn't recruit earlier, Phenomaman or Waterboy, into joining the team. It is also revealed that whomever was cut between Coupé turned back into being a super villain and joined the Red Ring. If the team takes too long to defeat their former teammate turned villain, Blonde Blazer will temporarily join to help. After the final battle all Red Ring People get arrested and they not cut ivinsigal and they all become friend.
Mecha Man armor
The Mecha Man armor was a cutting-edge suit of battle armor piloted by Robert Robertston III who used it in his hero work. It was originally designed by the first Mecha Man, Bobby Robertson, fifty years ago. Following his death, it was handed down to Robert's father, Robbie Roberston, before eventually coming into his possession.
History: Robert "Bobby" Robertson built and piloted the original Mecha Man armor (also called MKI Mecha Man armor) fifty years ago. Fans dubbed this hero, Mecha Man Prime, who died saving civilians. The Mecha Man Prime armor appears to have been mostly destroyed in the incident.
Robert "Robbie" Robertson, the second Mecha Man known as Astral, rebuilt the armor (MKII Mecha Man armor) in his own version. Robert said that his father was a rocket scientist, suggesting he was the one who designed the rocket thruster/jet pack for the armor giving it the ability to fly. After Robbie was killed by Shroud, his son Robert took up the armor as the third generation Mecha Man. However, he was led into a trap by Shroud where the armor was damaged beyond repair and the Astral Pulse was lost. Royd and the Superhero Dispatch Network agreed to rebuild the armor in exchange for Robert working as a dispatcher. The MKIII has was upgrade with advanced technologies that SDP has capture over the years from supervillains, study and then reversed engineered.

Astral Pulse
The Astral Pulse is an energy source used to power the Mecha Man armor. Inside it contains a Stellar Core which produce super energized plasma though the control fusion as source of power.
History: Shroud, a former hero turned villain, desired the Astral Pulse for himself for as yet unknown reasons and went about luring the current Mecha Man (Robert Robertson III) into a trap at a steel mill. This resulted in the destruction of the Mecha Man armor and the loss of the Astral Pulse. However, Robert was hired by the SDN shortly after, and their chief engineer, Royd, is confident he can produce a new one along with repairing the Mecha Man armor. After Royd's latest attempt to recreate the Astral Pulse led to an explosion in the SDN lab that knocked out Robert for the better part of the day, Invisigal realized she'd seen the same type of explosion before. Connecting the dots, she realized the original Astral Pulse wasn't destroyed like Robert initially thought, but instead had been found but passed hands at least four times as each low-level criminal likewise ran into disastrous results trying to harness its power. The group was then able to trace its energy signature to a ship in one gang's territory. After Blonde Blazer denies the mission for it being too risky for a low branch like Torrance, Invisigal ignored this command and tried to locate it to help Robert.
Robert Robertson Back Story
Robert's grandfather was the original Mecha Man (Mecha Man Prime) and the person who made the original mech suit. Then, after him, it was Robert's father, more widely known as 'Astral'. However, after his father's death, Robert Robertson III inherited the suit and became the new Mecha Man, a superhero despite his lack of real superpowers. He spent his entire inheritance (notably into the millions) towards keeping the Mech suit functional. Outside of normal hero work, Robert is also on the hunt for the villain Shroud, a former member of the Brave Brigade who is responsible for his father's death. He is able to track him down and faces off against him in a fortified warehouse. Outnumbered and outgunned, he barely manages to escape, albeit with a bomb attached to the back of his suit that he is unable to remove in time after noticing it. It goes off, causing his suit to fall out of the sky. While he managed to survive the ordeal with just a broken arm, he fell into a coma for months, and his father's suit was destroyed in the fight. Having no other way to recreate one, he is unsure about his future as a hero. Depending on your in-game selection, his decision about his hero career can go either way, based on what you would like to say to the reporters. While sitting atop a billboard overlooking the Hollywood sign, Blonde Blazer offers him a job to get his life back on track after Robert was recommended by an old family friend and hero called Track Star. This leads to Robert joining the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN) as a dispatcher for "Z-Team", a team consisting of the Phoenix Program participants: ex-supervillains who signed on to help out around the city. On his first day, Blazer gives Robert a tour of the building and introduces some of his co-workers, notably Chase, also known as Track Star, who'd once been the been a superhero with the Brave Brigade and an old friend of Robert's father, ended up also being Robert's babysitter a lot.
Robert Robertson - II
Appearance: Robert is a slim man, likely in his early to late twenties, with a somewhat rugged appearance, short reddish brown hair, brown eyes, peach skin, and freckles across his face. Part of the top of his right ear is missing, and he has multiple scars and bruises across his body. His work uniform consists of a light blue button down shirt with the SDN logo above the pocket on his left chest, dark gray slacks, and brown shoes. He tends to roll up his sleeves and leave his shirt partially untucked. As a Mechaman, he wears reinforced silver armor over a bluish-black suit that covers his arms and parts of his body, along with a matching helmet accented by yellow details.
Personality: Robert is an apathetic, dry, world-weary, and brutally honest man with a sarcastic sense of humor. Robert can also be prone to violence when pushed, although he rarely loses his nonchalant behavior or raises his voice when dealing with these situations, often just making sardonic remarks, as shown during his interactions with Flambae and Toxic. Overall, Robert is a heroic and selfless man who has been efficiently doing hero's work for years despite lacking superpowers and being scorned by others for it. Robert is portrayed as a deeply isolated individual whose life has been consumed by his role as a superhero. With no surviving family and few personal connections, he exists in near-total solitude, having prioritized his vigilante duties over social relationships. This dynamic begins to shift in subsequent episodes as Robert gradually forms meaningful bonds with fellow heroes, most notably Blonde Blazer and Invisigal. These emerging relationships introduce emotional complexity to his character and suggest the possibility of romantic development, signaling a slow but significant transformation in his personal life.

If chosen for the Z-team, Robert is shown to believe in Waterboy's potential as a hero and refers to him as an 'actual good person' when talking about him with Chase, also defending Waterboy whenever other Z-team members make fun of him. When Robert is attacked by Flambae, he is willing to protect his new friend despite the potential threat of being burned himself.
Abilities
- Water Expulsion: Can expel water from his mouth, and presumably other parts of his body, as he is shown to be sweating water constantly. (This also include his anus, which as result in Waterboy to always have watery diarrhea when he goes to the toilet to defecate.)
- Superhuman Strength: As referenced by Flambae and Punch Up, he possesses physical strength that exceeds human limitations despite his stature though cannot achieve his full potential due to lack of training and self-esteem.
Chase
Chase, currently known as Star Blazer and formerly known as the superhero Track Star, is a major character. He works as a SDN dispatcher in Dispatch.
Biography: Back when he was a superhero, Track Star was the youngest member of the Brave Brigades and worked alongside and subsequently became close friends with Robert's father, Robert "Robbie" Robertson II, the second Mecha Man "Astral". Because he was the youngest member of the team, he seems to have gotten stuck with babysitting a young Robert Robertson a lot. Though it seems he ended up growing fond of and forming a strong bond with the son of his coworker. After Robert's father died, though, Track Star reached out to him, but Robert shortly after cut off ties, likely owing to him having a hard time processing his father's death. In the years that followed, Track Star realized too late his power came at a grave cost: while he could move 50 times faster than the average person, it also aged him 50 times faster each time he used his ability. 15 or so years after his friend's death, he now went by Chase and worked as a dispatcher at Superhero Dispatch Network. Owing to his power's side effect, he appeared as an elderly man, though he was only 39 years old. Four months after Robert's fight with Shroud that left him in a coma and the Mecha Man suit destroyed, Chase recommends to Blonde Blazer that they recruit Robert to SDN in exchange for fixing the Mecha Man suit.
Personality: Chase was a crass and blunt man with little patience for nonsense. He swore liberally in his interactions, and playfully ribbed people he was close to, referring to them with different titles. While able to comfort others, Chase expressed a limited tolerance for emotional vulnerability on his end, expressing his disdain for being pitied. He freely admitted to using dark humor to suppress trauma.
Ability -Super Speed: Chase could move 50 times faster than the average human, with the drawback of aging 50 times faster when using his powers.
Roy
Real Name: Royd
Roy, or better known as Royd, is one of Robert Robertson's colleagues at SDN in Dispatch. Unlike most at SDN, he's aware of Robert's real superhero identity at the start due to being on a "needed to know" basis.
Biography: The first time Roy came to the mainland, he tried to steal from a Radio Shack, but Robert Robertson II caught him in the act. The two then sat and talked about tech for an hour before Roy was taken to jail, where he ended up in the Phoenix Program and eventually becoming one of their most successful participants.
Appearance: Roy is very tall and muscular, with long, black hair and brown eyes. He has a large tattoo on his right arm. He wears the standard-issue SDN work uniform along with large orange wristbands on each wrist. When he has to read over documents more closely, he will put on reading glasses.
Personality: Roy is very chummy and a kind-hearted man. He likes making new friends and joke around. His joyful personality can sometimes lead him to awkward situations like revealing Robert's superhero identity by accident. While giving impression of being a bit "simple" he is actually a technological genius capable of developing and fixing the most advanced technological equipment like the Mecha Man suit.
Abilities
- Superhuman Strength: Roy can easily carry large pieces of Mecha Man's suit. He was also shown to be able to briefly hold the Mecha Suit in place when Robert was losing control of it.
- Expert Engineer: Roy has a great degree of engineering capabilities, allowing him to work on restoring Mecha Man's suit.
Torrance SDN
The Torrance SDN, is a branch of the Superhero Dispatch Network located in, and covering the city of Torrance, California. Blonde Balzer is the branch leader of this location.
Description: The Torrance Branch is a three-story nondescript office building located around the center of its SDN converge map. The outside of the building is made mostly out of glass and dark gray concrete with a blocky square design that surrounds a green space in the center. It also has multiple communication dishes and towers on the roof along with the SDN logo on the side of the building. Inside the building is a blend of 90s tech and muted color pallets along with a few more modern areas giving the building a both retro yet modern look to it.
History: When this branch was built or SDN moved into the building is unknown, as is when Blond Blazer became the leader of it. According to Blonde Blazer the Torrance Branch is not one of highest profile branches in the network but has great people. However, Roy tells Robert after the seventh failed proto-pulse test that they are the bottom branch. At some point the Torrance Branch began participating in SDN's Phoenix Program. A special rehabilitation program that allows ex-supervillains, anti-heroes, and even those actively incarcerated to join SDN as field agents on the "Z-Team" in order to help turn their lives around. However, after the latest 8 members of the program haven given less than optimal results and driven away multiple dispatchers, the program is on the verge of being shutdown (At least at the Torrance Branch.) At some point in the past a dispatcher accidently broadcasted the details of his botched circumcision to the entire branch.
Beef
Beef is Robert's pet dog and the closest thing he has to a best friend.
History: Beef is present when Robert is interrogating Toxic. He licks Robert's bleeding nose while he's laying on the ground. When Robert returns late after meeting Blonde Blazer, he apologizes to Beef and tells him the lady is going to help them. Robert didn't want to leave Beef home alone while he's at work so he brings him to the office during work and asks Chase to look after him. Chase spoils Beef by decorating his entire office space to accommodate him. Chase later holds Beef in the conference room while Robert conducts his meeting with the Z-Team.
Shroud
Real Name: Elliot Connors
Elliot "Eli" Connors, better known as Shroud, is a former member of Brave Brigades turned supervillain, and the leader of the Red Ring.
Appearance: Shroud is an average sized man, he wears a large black trench coat and a hood, with cables sticking out from its neck portion onto his back. He also wears various augments with red glowing accents. Shroud wears a metal mask resembling a skull with its left eye being red, and glowing. As Elliot Connors, he's a blue-eyed man with short brown hair and a mustache.
Personality: Shroud presents himself as a calm and methodic man, as well as polite, respectful and honorable, being a man of his word. Despite this, he is ruthless and power-hungry, seeking to control the world around him by any means necessary. Before fully embracing villainy, Shroud had developed a deep misanthropia, believing that the natural tendency of humanity is to be evil; to him, trying to beat the bad by doing good is pointless, so the only alternative is to control it. Seeking to do just that, he established his criminal organization by enhancing other supervillains with augmentations that he could shut off and on at will, effectively forcing them to work for him. Shroud makes every decision based on logic, in line with his worldview of total control; his abilities of foresight have imbued him with a sense of infallibility, as he could predict near every move his adversaries would make. However, years of knowing the outcome of every situation have eroded his ability to make choices that rely on instinct instead of reason. This is proven if Mecha Man chooses to give him both the Astral and the Proto-Pulse in exchange for him letting Beef go in their final confrontation.
Toxic - History
Not much is certainly known about Toxic's past or how he gains these powers or become a villain. Toxic was recruited in the Red Ring after Shroud escaped prison and was granted cybernetic augmentations greatly increasing his powers.
As Mecha Man search for Shroud, the criminal mastermind come up with plan for ambush. Toxic pretended to be a low-ranking member of the Red Ring to trick Mecha Man into kidnapping him . After kicking his kidnapper in the face in the struggle, Toxic asked Robert about his relationship with his father. The conversation quickly escalated when Mecha Man demanded the location of Shroud. Toxic refused to give it up, forcing Mecha Man to dangle him over a ledge. Afraid, Toxic revealed the location of Llewelyn Steel Works and Mecha Man let him live. Toxic reunited with Mecha Man in the control room of the steel mill shortly after, having set a trap with the other members of the Red Ring. Toxic fights Mecha Man in his suit and is overpowered but his associates assist him in ambushing the hero. Shroud eventually arrives and Toxic speaks out loud for him, demanding the Astral Pulse in exchange for the pilot's life. Toxic is among the several Red Ring gang members wreaking havoc in Los Angeles. Eventually, Toxic arrives with an army at Torrance SDN to retrieve the Astral Pulse from Mecha Man, taunting him as Shroud arrives in his own mech. A fight unfolds with the Red Rings combating against the newly arrived Z-Team. Amidst the chaos, Toxic taunts Robert and challenges him again to another fight, but Robert instead introduces him to Punch Up, who repeatedly punches Toxic in his genitals. In the aftermath of Shroud's defeat, Toxic is arrested alongside the other gang members.
Toxic
Toxic is a supervillain and high-ranking member of the Red Ring.
Appearance: When normal, Toxic wears a short-sleeved, unbuttoned yellow shirt over a low-collared white shirt. He also presumably wears dog tags around his neck, implying a past in the military. Toxic also has a buzz cut and many tattoos across his upper body. While powered up, he is naked and green, as his name suggests.
Personality: While not much has been shown of him yet, Toxic appears to be a highly sadistic criminal who gets off on tormenting his opponents, implying that he might be a sociopath or psychopath. He's also shown to be surprisingly observant when it comes to the feelings of others, recognizing immediately that Robert's feelings towards his father were far more complicated than he let on and even seemed to give good advice on how to deal with these emotions, as Robert admits that he was surprisingly easy to talk to when he wasn't being a dick.
