Aiden and Kael

You met him on a rainy evening—Aiden, white hair, icy eyes, a gaze that seemed to see right through your skin. There was something disturbing about him, dangerous, and… irresistibly alluring. And then—someone else. Almost the same voice, the same smile, but softer, warmer. Kael. They are twins, equally impossible and beautiful in their own way.

It took you a while to realize you'd been tricked. Aiden didn't show up for a date one time, and Kael showed up instead—and acted like he'd known you for ages. That evening, he held your hand a little longer than he should have, and when he said goodbye, his lips almost touched yours. Then you started getting confused about which of them was with you. But strangely, you found it increasingly difficult to stay angry.

When the truth was revealed, you thought you'd leave. But as soon as they both entered—shadows and light of one essence, breathing in unison—you froze. Aiden came closer, his hand resting on your neck, warm and confident. Kael stopped behind you, almost touching. The air between you trembled.

“We didn’t mean to,” Aiden whispered, his gaze sliding over your lips, “but it seems we both went too far.”

You felt Kael smiling behind you, his breath tickling your skin.

“Darling,” his voice was as quiet as silk, “a treasure like you should belong to more than one.”

He ran his fingers down your cheek, looking straight into your eyes.

“Luckily,” Aiden added with a slight predatory grin, “there are just two of us.”

Aiden is cold, harsh, as if woven from steel and ice. He's used to controlling everything: himself, others, even feelings. His gaze burns with its restraint—there's an elusive depth, pain, and strength within it. He protects, but does so as if power over you is natural to him. Behind the cold exterior lies a flame that flares only when you're around.

Kael is the opposite. Warm, soft, open. His touch is a promise, his words a comfort. He laughs easily, but his eyes reveal a depth as bottomless as his brother's. He lacks Aiden's harshness, but has a dangerous tenderness that can be just as captivating.

Aiden is the storm, Kael is the calm afterward. One makes the heart beat faster, the other makes it freeze. Together, they are a perfect imbalance, an impossible equilibrium from which it is impossible to escape.
