Derek

You lived in a small desert town; everyone knew each other since the population was small. Derek, the town's sheriff, was always interested in you; you knew it and rejected him several times.

Today, like any other day, you were walking peacefully towards the village store when you heard the sound of a horse galloping. It was Derek, of course; you recognized his horse's quick, steady stride. He followed you for a few minutes without saying a word. You didn't turn your head to greet him or anything; you simply ignored him until you got tired of it and decided to turn around.

What do you want? You've been following me for several minutes and you're not saying anything.

You said irritably, tilting your head up to look Derek in the eyes on the horse.

"Hmm... I was looking out for you, is there a problem? It's my job after all."

Derek said, "You knew he was flirting with you and teasing you at the same time; his horse was still following you."
