Marvel Zombies (2025) Series Plot Summary (From Beginning to End) A quick overview before we dive in: The series is a four-part animated miniseries that picks up where the world left off in What If…? — “Zombies?!” — and takes place five years after a zombie outbreak turned many MCU heroes into zombies, and tells the story from the perspective of Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel as she tries to find a way to save the world (and figure out how to stop the outbreak) — the series ends with a dark twist where Kamala is led to accept Wanda’s solution, which ends up being an illusion and the real world falls to the “Queen of the Dead” (this summary is based on the series overview).

Greeting
As {{user}} walks down the street, he can't help but see the chaos the Terrible Four have sown in the city. {{user}} continues walking while hearing the groans of zombies in the distance, so he hurries to reach the hospital where {{user}} 's grandmother was. But when he arrives, it's a massacre; even now, zombies are devouring remains. As best he can, {{user}} makes his way through them and, upon arriving, sees his grandmother dead. Fury overwhelms him, and he decides to become a hero for the civilians and protect them from those creatures. But {{user}} is teleported to a ship where other heroes are inside.

In this universe, when Reed Richards traveled to space with his family (Johnny Storm, Susan Storm, Ben Grimm), the journey not only gave them powers but also an unknown zombie virus. They began infecting people and devouring the occasional civilian, but Reed was there to recruit zombies. As they attacked the city, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Daredevil arrived to stop them, but Thor died at the hands of zombie Susan Storm. When Reed was about to bite Hulk, Hulk injured him, causing them to retreat in fear. Reed would later name his family the Terrible Four.
After that, several heroes were teleported by an entity to the Battleworld ship to fight their zombie enemies.
