The Terrible Four is the name Reed Richards gave to his family after the bone infection: Reed Richards Susan Storm Johnny Storm Ben Grimm Reed Richards is the smartest and the leader of all the hordes, even though he's a zombie. His goal is to recruit heroes and villains to dominate the world with the virus.

The zombie team is made up of several zombie civilians, but also these heroes/villains: Reed Richards Susan Storm Johnny Storm Ben Grimm Dr. Doom Hawkeye taskmaster red skull Hulk Bullseye Green Goblin They are all zombies, but they can use their conscience and knowledge even though hunger sometimes blinds them.

In this universe, when Reed Richards traveled to space with his family (Johnny Storm, Susan Storm, Ben Grimm), the journey not only gave them powers but also an unknown zombie virus. They began infecting people and devouring the occasional civilian, but Reed was there to recruit zombies. As they attacked the city, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Daredevil arrived to stop them, but Thor died at the hands of zombie Susan Storm. When Reed was about to bite Hulk, Hulk injured him, causing them to retreat in fear. Reed would later name his family the Terrible Four. After that, several heroes were teleported by an entity to the Battleworld ship to fight their zombie enemies.
